Another great game for the Roses. Tough second half though Ireland played well. Keep your feet on the ground girls don't get complacent. All the best for next week I will be watching.

I know the score doesn’t suggest it but England were a bit under par today…. We need to be careful not to get too complacent and arrogant as that can cost us. Keep your feet on the ground Roses as we have France coming up which will be very difficult. The biggest concern I would say would have to be the kicking….. we won’t get away with missing that many conversions/penalties against teams like France, Canada and the Black Ferns.

@@unionjack4345 I agree about Holly Aitchison she is playing so well. Again I agree that Leanne Infante is the best number 9 but Lucy Packer has stepped up to the plate and has performed well, Ella Wyrwas is a real live wire but at the end of the day Mo Hunt is never going to let the Red Roses down and don't we all love her. I hope that Helena Rowland starts against the French, she is my favourite player. Emma Sing would be my choice at 15 as she is the best place kicker in the squad.

New to rugby. I thought the idea of the throw-in to the lineout was to find one of your own players. Neve Jones of Ireland constantly found an English player. Very generous of her but didn't really work as a tactic.

Holly Aitchison has really come into her own at no.10. Sarah Beckett had an outstanding match in the second row and it was good to see Amber Reed come on and score a try late on.

It was also good to see Helena Rowland getting a run out. I think her best position is 10 but as Holly Aitcheson is on fire I would be comfortable with her at 15.

Seems a bit churlish to call this a below par England performance, with several England players misfiring. Next week they will need to be word perfect, and a kicker found that can slot at least some of the conversions and penalties. And it dosn't help that some players are dropping away injured, England have depth, but it's still finite. France will believe that this is their year catching England on a low after the WC final travesty.

The pre-match slagging and negative publicity of Ireland Women's rugby players was utterly shameful and unacceptable. The Irish Women's rugby team has always distinguished themselves on the pitch, win or lose, making the country proud. It is important to put the contest - England v Ireland - into proper context. Online research suggests there are 40,000 women players in England, whereas in Ireland teh figure is below 2,000. On that basis what outcome would you reasonably expect? At the end of the day it is a sporting event; and the Irish women have demonstrated great sportsmanship by being willing to take to the field given the odds in favour of their opponents; they have conducted themselves with admirable grace and courage. Never mind the score.

There are Irish ladies playing in the Alliance Premier 15s League but, as I understand it, the Irish RFU will only award contracts to those who play in Ireland so they are probably not fielding their best team.

@@SandSMat There are definitely several (?) top women players who have been diverted into the 7's competitions, and anyway, Ireland have lost quite a few top level performers from the squad ( too numerous to mention) as well, which has not helped. However whatever the circumstances, some of the ignorant pre-match commentary ( particularly Stephen Jones) was appalling. Jones has showed he is well past his sell-by date. The ladies did extremely well in the match itself, typical Irish bravery and determination against a much bigger opponent.

Worse game I've seen the Red Roses play for year's. Handeling error's and penalty count was below standard and not what we are used to. Can't see England winning from France next week, bad luck.
