also, it definitely wasn't a red, "high level of danger" is an incredible overreaction for a tackle at half speed with clear restraint. It 100% should have been a yellow, and I say that as someone who started despising Irish rugby over the past 6-7 years for the amount of friendly whistles they've been getting.

It was more of a "check" than a hit. We've all done it, you just let the 9 know you were there but not actually throw yourself at them. I thought it was a harsh red and the word danger being used unnecessarily.

So England were down to 14 for most of the game and down to 13 for 10 minutes at one point. Away from home as well. That shows how much character and belief these young lads have. The odds against them, but still got that win anyway.

The scrum penalty is on the tight head at 1:30 the drop of the tigh head elbow causes the loose head to twist and roll.

I really don't believe that challenge should be a red card offence it's a bit stupid yes but it wasn't a really bad challenge, i understand that they want to protect the players from head contact but there are degrees of danger and even though he was stupid let's reserve red cards for really reckless foul play with intent to cause serious harm as well as giving out longer bans for these offences.

Two totally stupid penalties to give away and a player in front of the kicker. If you watch any game now there is nearly always someone in front of the kicker. I wish more refs would penalise this. These are professional players and should have this drummed into them from a very early age.

They did. They kicked into the corner twice when they had the opportunity to go for the posts. The first time they gave away a penalty in the maul from the ensuing lineout, the second time they kicked fractionally too deep and it went out in the dead ball area giving England a 22 drop out. Weird those didn’t make the highlights. The penalty goal was their third (or fourth?) opportunity in that sort of position.

What dour, boring game played by both sides. England scrum penalised twice in the first 10 minutes, Ireland unable to take advantage when playing against 13 men. And a quarter of this so called "highlights" clip spent replaying a grounding decision. I know it was against the unfortunate Wales, but nonetheless, neither of these 2 unimaginative sides wants to play France on the flare and form showed there, both up front and in the backline.

England have far more registered rugby players to chose from than Ireland with many of these current England u20 players having already being capped at pro level this season. The Irish players have been playing for the AIL teams. A standard far below. Ireland were missing 5 of their best players & their lost physical too in the pack. Alan Spicer 6ft 10, 145kg in the 2nd row for one. Big tighthead Niall Smyth, hooker Stephen Smyth & number 8 Luke Murphy.
