​​@@sabazu. Buahaha he was FLUSHED out of Europe completely. No club in Europe wanted him, not in any league in any tier. He was foisted on LA for free because he has no market value and 4 Barca coaches didn't want to use him. Nobody wants a mid who is a constant defensive liability. He's lazy and spectates most of the match. He is creating some good chances, but it's not enough to offset effectively playing with 10 on defense. Ironically Barca did sign a LA Galaxy player. That should tell you something.

The absolute lack of defensive effort at 3:16 (leading to a goal) is exactly why Galaxy has a terrible record. Edwards is SOOOOO bad. The left back loses the ball, then makes NO effort to get back, leading to a 6 on 5 overload, eventually resulting in a goal. After losing the ball, it takes him a full 16 seconds to get to defend the left side of the box. The goal comes a second later.

Fully agree. It was 5v5 in the box and Puig was nowhere to be seen, off by himself in a corner. When another opponent advanced at least one guy did track back. But yeah sluggish response to the threat. Puig created some good chances but is a constant defensive liability. When he gave the ball away he didn't hustle back, just went flatfooted and spectated as usual. He often moves to stand BEHIND someone, taking himself out of the game.

@@jjryan1352 I'm not a fan of Puig's defensive effort when the ball is in Galaxy's half, but he basically plays as a member of the attack. The coach appears to give him license to do so, and he plays as the outlet to control the transition. Edwards, who lost the ball on this occasion, is a defender who doesn't defend and who often turns over the ball with terrible passes. At 3:27, it was momentarily 6v5.

Ugh...that filthy throughball at the end of the first period from Puig to Boyd should have been a goal. Easy wide open square pass to unmarked Judd who would have had a tap-in. Boyd also missed a golden passing opportunity at the end of extra time (6:30) with 3 available options, especially Costa on the right who was unmarked and 1v1 with the keeper.

I agree. LA missed very clear chances. Jovelic point blank shot from a pass from Rahim is as easy a goal as you are gonna get. Yet they shoot too weak when they should shoot hard, and to hard when they should go for touch. Smh

Este torneo que se acaban de inventar tanto la MX como la MLS sólo es para hacer dinero como lo hacen con la selección Mexicana. Futbolisticamente hablando en nuestro país nuestro fútbol cada año va cada vez más en picada por culpa de los directivos de la FMF. Ya todos sabemos quienes son los equipo que van a llegar más lejos en este torneo. Chivas,America,Cruz Azul,Leon,Monterrey,Tigeres y tal vez los Pumas. Estos equipos siempre han sido nuestros referentes a kivel de clubes en cualquier competencia. Los demás van a seguir siendo cartuchos quemados. Mientras los federativos de la FMF no dejen de pensar más en el dinero que en lo deportivo nuestro fútbol no va a pasar de lo mismo. Lo más lamentable es que muchos aficionados les siguen creyendo que estamos avanzando futbolisticamente cuando todos sabemos que la realidad de nuestro fútbol es otra. La MLS esta creciendo a pasos agigantados y nuestro fútbol se está estancado cada vez más. Esa es la realidad de nuestro fútbol.
