I think that MLS is comparable to the championship, if not maybe better. I think the parody in the MLS and the wage gap between top and bottom MLS clubs is a whole lot closer than the Championship. Meaning the Top championship clubs will continue to be promoted (and eventually relegated). All I’m saying is that MLS might be more competitive sporting wise. And maybe even creeping up closer to La Liga in skill wise. Take a look at the spending of these clubs in Europe and you’ll see MLS is spending more on average than some of this Historic Clubs. Also not to be an MLS fan boy. But some younger English players should consider coming over and getting some minutes. Similar to what Jack Harrison did (sorry Leeds Supporters)

I'm confused. On the last goal, the ref seemed to signal advantage for LA Galaxy because #4 was fouled and went down. LA lost the ball within like 3 seconds and the ref didn't bring it back for advantage, then LAFC scored. What's the point of signaling advantage in that case? Not a fan of either team, was just checking out the goals, and it just struck me as odd.

It amazes me that Greg Vanney won championships in Toronto. He's definitely not the right fit for LA Galaxy. He hasn't contributed anything to the club for 3 years. When team is making cross into the box the so-called attacking mid nowhere to be seen. Lazing about out of position on far right near RB. Dude is a spectator most of the match.

Puig is hardly a defender, hell I'm not sure he wouldn't just bounce of an opposing player if he tried to make a tackle. He's one of the most prolific playmakers in MLS, needs to be played as a true #10 in front of two defensive minded holding midfielders and a clinical CF.

@@Chudsic oh dear, here come the puig apologetics. So mids have no defensive role is it? He's a liability every second he's on the pitch, a negative on aggregate regardless of chances created. In the game now forwards get called out if they don't help on defense. Prolific playmaker? 🤣🤣🤣 His laziness to help when out of possession is staggering. He rarely strays into the box as it is now as an "attacking mid". How's he going to operate as a 10? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Always a good laugh when people say they should build a team around a player who was flushed from Europe at 22.

​@@jjryan1352 the most talented attacker on the pitch rarely has a high defensive work rate, this is the trade off. If he had better players around him these 'flaws' shouldnt be as apparent. We don't need Puig to be a box to box mid, and Galaxy have always had high usage players with low work rate, Donovan, Beckham, Keane for example were all in the team for multiple MLS cups and I spent years watching them walking about when Galaxy didnt have possesion, but those teams were better assembled

He wasn't used at Barca by 4 coaches because they were tired of babysitting him and covering for that massive shortcoming. We're talking casually strolling and spectating as the opponent plays through his area and not tracking back when it's clear the defense is caught out. Saying he's a talented attacker means nothing when your mid can't be bothered with a basic part of the job.
