Defeat 4 - 2 on friendly game (of course full field) at home (I didn't risk my left adductor so I was assistant referee). Opponent team was better prepared than us physically. They were creating the game really well in their 1/3rd. I'm absolutely proud of my team: they gave their best mentally in a difficult weather. There was a moment they were close to 3 - 3 too. Only positive things for my team. I wished I could play in this game but I know I took the right decision.

To those who say that LAFC has no history and that the "real" football club is Galaxy... I am Turkish and the football I follow is European football, like many football fans. But soccer is very different from this. Americans see sports as entertainment and do not bring anything political, religious or class into sports like some hooligans in other parts of the world. So they don't make this a matter of war and life and death. Also, I think what we know as "club" status does not exist in America, and as far as I know from organizations such as NFL, NBA, MLB, there is a concept called "franchising" there. This is something European sport is not used to. So even if a team is established there two days ago, many Americans who like to watch sports will go and watch that match. That's why I love the American soccer culture, their teams and the football played there. At least there's just sports fever instead of ridiculous non-sports arguments. After all, I am happy that such a derby is held in a big city like Los Angeles. That's why I say it's a good thing LAFC was established.
