I am team Wrexham BUT I think the ball was over the line... BUT I also think Palmer deserved a penalty.. Swings & roundabouts 👀😄

It was over, but Palmer was a penalty and the hand ball right before that should have been a penalty as well. Sloppy from both teams and the officals!

neither a pen - palmer's was 50/50, could've been foul on their defender just as easily,. the handball was accidental and he spun around to move his arm out of the way. At least thats how i saw is as a Stockport fan @@davidterry3192 😜

Reminds me of the Japan goal in the World Cup where the ball didn't cross the touchline. It looked for all money to be out but the innermost section of the ball was still directly over. We'll never know but I think there's enough doubt that the same has happened here, even after the part touching the ground has crossed. Without goaline tech it's anyone's guess. On a related note, does football's benefit of the doubt go against blowing the whistle (ie. player was not offside, ball was not out, it was not a penalty), or is it supposed to favour the attacking side? I can't find clear guidance either way.

To play devil's advocate, I believe the goal line and posts are the same width. So if the ball was still in contact with the post when it slid over, it wouldn't be completely over the goal line, imo. Hard to tell if it is or not. A bit sloppy all around tbh tho.

I agree with you. Remember, the best English ref's are in the Premier League, and let's be honest, they aren't great.

As a brazilian (which should be the country of football) , it is incredible to see this level of play and infrastructure in the frigging 4th tier of a country. Amazing.

This stadium is an exception though. The story behind MKDons is pretty werid, that stadium is way too big for that team. That being said it is amazing the level of competitive play for a 4th tier division. South American 4 tier divisions are mostly amateur civilians, it's mostly not a paid job.

@@DS9TREK yeah absolutely. We Brazilians received this name in 70s after the Pele era of joga bonito and dominance. We are far from that right now. It would be cool to see Wrexham play a Brazilian Division 2 team though

Yeah, from what I'm seeing in this clips, I'm having a hard time believing that either team would do too well if played against teams like Brighton, Liverpool, or Brentford.

Well played from both teams 👏🏻, mk dons dominated in passing , but Wrexham dominated in shots and pressure , both teams could of easily scored a lot more , but mk dons should of conceded alot of penalties, 2 examples off the top of my head was were palmer Wrexham striker was dragged down in the box , when he was about too score the winning game header , mk dons defender should of been given a red card for that and also mk dons defender, hand ball it in the box also while blocking a shot and if you look at the stats wxm dominated in attacks and shots , Hard game anyway we go again 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ❤, glad we got a point at least out of the game and we’re sitting nicely in the top end of the league , but 3 points was for our talking very frustrating when we was 11 men up too mk dons 10 men in the 60th min , god knows 😂why they didn’t change Boyle for tozer I’ll never know haha as Boyle was already on a yellow card . Anyway all the best for the rest of the season .

Honestly think goal line technology might have ruled that out but without it you really have to give the goal. Dodgy decisions all round tbf. First yellow on Boyle was sketchy and the 2nd was a blatant dive. Ollie clearly pulled down in the box. Can't really give the handball for Mulls' shot cos it was point blank. Frustrating that the narrative after the Notts county "goal" will be Wrexham getting lucky calls (or worse) when we've copped as many shit calls or lack of proper calls as anyone this season.

thats a goal from MK dons in the 59min.. should have been 2-1.... the ball was entirely over the line.. No VAR in League 2?....Wrexham got lucky. 🤫🤫🤫

VAR doesn't decide if the ball is over. Goal line technology does. Without that there is no way to be absolutely certain from the camera angles on this vid, though it looked like there was more than a reasonable chance. As for Wrexham being lucky......... nah. Solid game of football, good chances, high energy, poor officiating

They have two things in common, as both teams will be disappointed with their overall performance and both will be shaking their heads over the extremely poor officiating.

Balls are spherical, not cubic and orthogonal to the goal line and net, so yes it is possible. That being said, I thought the ball was over the line, although it's impossible to say with certainty from the angles and distances we were given. However, there were two penalties that Wrexham should've been given, so I think at worst it balances out for MK Dons, at best they should've lost.

Refs were horrible, and that's just what was included in these highlights. I reckon there were other bad calls that weren't included.

Palmer was definitely fouled there, definite penalty, if he wasn't fouled Palmer would have scored with a great header !!

Just sick and tired on bad referreeing... Every game is marred by this. It's like they hire refs with little to no experience. The fact a yellow at least, let alone a red, when MK Dons stepped on a players side trying to jump over them is beyond wild. Palmer being tackled at the end at the ref giving into the players hurt side. Also can't believe this game wasn't 4-1. Parkinson needs to create some plays with the players to show them what to do. Every time we break its like "what do we do" ... "Ohhh I'll lob it in ab obvious place". Need to become better attacking and taking advantage of moments.

Definitely a 💩 show all around, Dons lad stamping a downed Wxm player, Dons taking dives, handball no-call, dragging Palmer down in the box… just sloppy refereeing no doubt.
