It's a Wednesday night, people are working or going to school. Also, it's 500+$ to fly to New York or a 6h drive. It shouldn't be surprising that there were no travelling fans in these circumstances. If the match had occured a Saturday night in the summer, there would probably have been a bus full of supporters travelling down there!

Is it weird for people that live in NJ support NYCFC? I’m new to MLS and I live 25 mins away but in NJ. I don’t want to be seen as a ‘plastic’ fan for coming to the games. I would support an NJ team if we had one.

I hope Man city sells the team to an ownership who would 1)change the brand, because New York isn’t Manchester (where the main squad of city group plays) 2) have a team in which the main squad is the team in nyc
