I have a sympathy in Hungary. We meet last year in Austria on a skiing vacation. She is coming to visit me in Slovenia and she doesn't have a clue of how Slovenia looks. I will take her to Lake Bled, Ljubljana and Piran. I really want to impress her.

I was underage when I came to Canada. First five years I spent working in the North. And then again as a student another 5 years during the summer school breaks. During that time I had no opportunity to speak with other Slovenians, which added loneliness in addition to being every day severely homesick. No wonder......Yes, Slovenia is beautiful. Thank you. Another great view is from Sveta Gora. Standing in front of the magnificent cathedral, dedicated to Holy Mary in appreciation for her appearance to a little Slovenian girl. At 600 meters above sea level, one can see the beautiful River Soca and the Adriatic sea, looking west toward Venice and south towards Trst-Trieste.. Turning north one can see the magnificent Julian Alps. And yes, Holy Mary listen to ones prayers. It was also a miracle that in front of the cathedral I've taken a photo with 12 Slovenian friends fro far away Buenos Aires in Argentina. For World's and Slavic brotherhood, with love from Canada.

Oksana & Max great video, beautifully edited to the music. I particularly loved the footage of the white houses and red roofs which I think were taken from Lake Bled? From your blog it's interesting to hear how it has become very touristy, I can see how this could spoil the appeal but it seems like it is still worth a visit if only to get such beautiful aerial pictures. I will be taking a more detailed look at your very informative and useful blog to find out more about where to visit in Slovenia (adding Slovenia now to the ever growing "bucket list" ).
