We are planning our first resort trip and this resort has definitely come to the top of my list as an option. I do find that if your schedule is pretty open then you can get a good deal with flights included. It can be a little more challenging to the budget if you have specific dates you want or need to travel. Thank you for the great video.

Not with the front desk, but close by in the lobby. They are very knowledgeable about the various excursions available in the area. Enjoy! This is one of our favorite resorts!

When we were there, we had unlimited reservations for dinner and we had top shelf liquor. In fact, they delivered two bottles of our choice to our room when we arrived. Then they knocked on our door later that night and brought us two more. We are not big drinkers, so it wasn’t necessary, but it was excellent Butler service! They scheduled our dinners at the start of our vacation for the week.

Hi- Thankyou for this Trs Yukatan video as I am looking to go in November 2024. The beach is how far from the rooms? Walkable? In minutes how long? It’s private? Can you snorkel off the beach there? And how long is the beach? I like a long walk along the ocean? Did you mention a drink or snack bar at beach? Also is it safe to leave stuff on chair while snorkelling ? I’m going solo. @@CathyBoyes-ve6qs The TRS beach is a ways from the room, but the Butler will call for a cart to pick you up and take you there. It only takes a few minutes. We’ve walked back from the beach because we like to walk, but always had the option to get a cart back. There is a private bar at the beach but I don’t remember a snack bar. We eat 3 good sized meals when we are at an all inclusive, so we don’t normally need much in the way of snacks. But there is food everywhere. We didn’t snorkel when we were there but I imagine that you could. The water was crystal clear. The beach is fairly long and nice for a walk. You will walk through the beach area for the other parts of the resorts. We always left our things on our chair while walking on the beach and swimming, we’ve never had a problem. Of course there are changes all of time, so you may have a different experience, but this was one of our favorites resorts. I hope you have a wonderful time. We will be going to Punta Cana for the first time in October. I’ll try to post a video of that resort too.

Really nice. We are going mid/late september. Is there much rain in that time?

It depends. We’ve traveled many times at that time of year and other than a stray shower that blows by, we’ve only had a handful of true rain out days. If we see that coming on radar, we plan a spa day, hang out at the sports bar or else watch movies in the room. We don’t like to spend all of our time in the sun anyway. Enjoy your vacation! @@Sangie1978 We have always traveled in October and never had an issue. That being said, the one year we didn’t go during the pandemic, there was a hurricane. October is a great month to go because it’s not as hot as the earlier months and the resorts have been less crowded.

I am getting quotes for Mexico vacation. Is this TRS YUCATÁN in Riviera Maya same as the one in Playa del Carmen? I think it is 4 resorts all together? I got quote from Vacations to go for 7 nights.

This was an excellent and detailed review, thank you! We are booked for late August. Is there a fee to use the hydrotherapy circuit in the spa? Also, do the Bali beds require reservations or have extra cost?

When we were there in October there was not a charge for the hydrotherapy, but we heard there is now a small fee. If you book a service in the spa, I believe the hydrotherapy is included. Certain Bali beds were a few, but there were others that were free to use. That may have changed. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Would you consider it a more quiet and relaxing resort? Is there loud music at the pools? We are considering this resort for our babymoon in April but want to have a totally relaxing vacay that is not too noisey. Thanks!

Not necessarily…there are quiet areas like the upper end of both the Delmar pool and the upper end of the Lindo pool. The beach has areas that are quiet too. But wherever the entertainment team is there will most likely be loud music, activity and lots of people. You can find both there. From what I’ve observed about the Grand, it has more quieter areas.

Whoops…I thought you were asking about my other video about the Iberostar. My mistake! The TRS has lots of quiet areas. The pools were not loud, but occasionally they would play music or the dancers from the Chic Show would stop by and perform for a few minutes in the afternoon.

We are looking to book this hotel for our honeymoon. I've read some reviews (but few) that they are too aggressive about selling you on upgrades/timeshare. Did you find that easy to avoid? We don't want out honeymoon to become stressful trying to avoid that.

We were not pressured at all. Do not go to the presentation and do not get hooked in if they say you have a free gift. That way you will avoid it completely. I think this is a fabulous resort for a honeymoon. What time of year will you be going?

@@sylvaindastous9822 The food at the TRS Yucatán was wonderful! One restaurant was better than the other. We were extremely satisfied with the food. But some resorts are having issues right now so it’s hard to tell if this is a post Covid result or if it’s the way they intend to move forward.

Why do Americans call the main course an entree? Entree is the beginning or first course of a meal.

I wish I had a good answer as to why, but our dictionaries in American consider the entree to be the main course. I did some research and found this evolved after the Great Depression and WW II. Meals were simplified and what may have been considered an appetizer in the past became the main course. The change in meaning became custom over the years from what I read.

We’ve been there numerous times in October and there was minimal rain. That being said, it is hurricane season. The year we didn’t go in October 2020, there was rain and wind the week usually go. How long was the show??

Longer than we expected. They are tireless performers. There was a preshow about a half hour before the show that took place in the lobby bar area that was fantastic. We then we were escorted to our table inside. The show seemed to be almost 2 hours long. When we thought it would be over, it was just begining and getting better and better. I have so many videos from the show but could only add a few to keep this video short enough. I'm wondering if I should create a video of just the show?

Yes! There is a terrifc beach there. The beach is showcased somewhat near the end of the video. The special TRS beach was a short walk from our room or the butler will call a tram driver to ride you there. Sometimes we took the tram there then walked back through the other resorts in the complex.

Why do Americans say "entree" for the main course? "Entree" means entry. An "entree" is the beginning or introductory course of a meal not the main course. Americans need to learn more about other languages.
