I had the same thought 🤔. It clearly rolled forward on his release. The ball can't go forward on releasing the ball right? Is this one of these weird scenarios where the TMO I not allowed to call it back? Super rugby has had some pretty entertaining matches this season but as with most rugby in recent years the officiating is so inconsistent.

Whoever is in charge of the Highlanders needs to Sack Clark dermody because he is useless and has been ever since he got the job I mean what's the loseing streak again NZ teams now it's over 20. And get rid of lenit brown and Ma'u they have had too many chances and cannot scrum get rid of bell the hooker because he can't throw a lineout Jack Taylor's a better hooker anyways. Also always have garden-bachop starting because he is better than Lowe. It's getting really hard to be a Highlanders supporter with these coaches in charge and the players I mentioned playing. Maybe get rid of some of these players I mentioned to save some money and get better players.

The second Carter Gordon try wasn't tapped behind the mark, hard done by highlander with a lot of one-sided decisions against them. Rebels survive another encounter with the help of the Refree and TMO.
