According to these highlights, the Highlanders didn’t touch the ball once. Maybe it has to do with the scrum half who is so busy flapping his arms he can’t cover across the pitch. On that last try he didn’t even bother to run. Just sauntered and did nothing. If I was the coach he’d be running wind sprints at practice until he puked.

I wouldn’t write off the Crusaders. Lots of injuries and they’ll be back. Highlanders have been grimly hanging on for a long time. Surely there must be talk about amalgamation, though they have so much history behind them it would be a huge call

@@clitering I mean, that is true about the Crusaders, but even then it just doesn't feel like the same team at all. We need to see how they play after the players come back from their injuries. It's hard to say for sure. But yeah the Highlanders really need to get a move on. They can't make the playoffs like this, especially if they keep losing matches. I think it's safe to say that the Highlanders are declining at this point, but they could still come back from this. Crusaders maybe but they have a good chance of recovering from their recent form. As for the other NZ teams, they're all still doing really well so I wouldn't say they've declined. (I mean the Hurricanes are still undefeated after 8 games so they're certainly not) Although for the Aussies, Aussie teams are definitely improving, particularly the Rebels, since they're in a great position right now and should make the playoffs after their strong form as of late when just last year they finished 11th in the table.
