Before the Tour began, Froome said he'd be supporting his team leader Michael Woods, but Woods is not currently a GC contender, so Froome is now free to make a big effort on todays final mountain stage 18 to Luz Ardiden to prove to himself and to his fans that he's just not a damp squib nowadays..:)
