Thank you so much mate, my opinion towards Sweden was neutral, until I've met one half Finnish, half Swedish guy in Prague... We spent like one year together, watching hockey too, obviously we cheered for different teams, but mostly we were cycling together..what a great guy!...this was my only experience with a man from the North and the best one... If my team looses, I cheer for Slovakia, our countries split, but we are still brothers, then for Finland, and then for Sweden.. this time, I've cheered for my team only... What a great tournament... PS: off topic... My country is now planning to buy F35 jets, my politicians do not understand anything about defence, we currently have a small fleet of Swedish Gripen fighters, very capable jets... but due to Russian invasion, our politicians went into panic mode and decided to replace Gripens with American F35 jet fighters... This is bad... Especially for a small country like us... If (hypothetically) Russia attacks us and destroys all military airfields (2), the F35s are grounded, while Gripens can fight back from a road!!!... Please explain to our politicians who have never served in the army, what's best for us...and it's Gripen NG, not F35!, that will turn useless in case of war! Take care, brother!

Pre mňa najlepší hokejový tím na svete a skurvene zaslúžené zlato. Česko je hokejová veľmoc a vedel som po výhre v semifinále, že CZ si ide pre zlato DOMA! Vyhrať doma zlato je proste neskutočné. I feel so bad for Switzerland. 3 times they've fought to the final, and Sweden stopped them twice. This time Czech Republic crushed their dream. They are definitely becoming one of the top hockey nations. HUGE congrats to Czech Republic, so nice to see you guys celebrating a gold medal and on home ice no less. Hope you enjoy the elation and that you celebrate late into the night, you've earned every minute of it. /A swede who is sad that his own team didn't make it farther (still happy for the bronze though) but still happy to see the gold and silver medals go to deserving teams.

How can we not love this beautiful sport, look at the comments! It brings a great joy to see all the good wishes and appreciation even from Swedes and Swiss. This sport has a great community around it. Thank you all! I watched our golden generation as a kid and it's an amazing feeling to see this happen once again. I know the IIHF refs were awful on most occasions throughout this tournament, but can we appreciate the refs in this game? They rarely get any appreciation, mostly just insults for bad games, but they did a great job this time 🙏

CZ: gold 2 (2010, 2024), bronze 3 (2011, 2012, 2022), fourth place 3 (2014, 2015, 2019) CH: silver 3 (2013, 2018, 2024) So we're happy for 5 medals (or 8 top four finishes) in 15 years, which I'd say is pretty all right.

Well said, I remember I've always hated watching the game against Switzerland. They were realy dull and boring games (with bad result for us :D). But now they do not destroy the game. They are creating it. I hope SUI will be rewardet soon.
