The defending from Mavinga on Kamara’s goal was legendary in its awfulness. It’s literally the definition of falling asleep in defense. Only thing is, other defenders falling asleep usually lose the ball after that, whereas Mavinga loses the ball, then decides to have a kip

Don`t let the score fool you … this game was never close. Two lucky goals by Insigne and a weak penalty call against Montreal. TFC got a soccer clinic from a vastly superior Montreal team. This is why there are 18 points separating these two clubs in the standings.

It's a good rivalry, but I think Seattle-Portland remains the best in MLS. Those two teams and their fans have hated each other since the NASL days in the 1970's. If anything, that rivalry is bigger than ever after they took turns winning the West for 7 straight years now.

@@donviajero2580 I think Seattle and Portland have a great rivalry. That said, you have to realize that Toronto is in an english speaking province and Montreal is in a french speaking province. So culturally speaking they have been at each other for generations, going back to when North America was being colonized. Every sports league that both cities have a team in, the fans hate each other intensely.

I am Italian and I am used to European football. I can confidently say that both teams' defenses and midfields lack a game idea. Insigne and Bernrdeschi know how to turn the ball and know the right moment to attack the defense, just see the insertions on the lines of the first and third goals.

Disclaimer - I am not a TFC or Montreal fan. But yall place a lot of blame on Bono. He is certainly not the best keeper in MLS at all but his defense left him stranded on pretty much all but one of the goals tonight

@@josephfrobisher1272 Yes I agree, but because newof and better fullbacks we're back to recovering ground slightly better and still Bono continues to struggle to make saves. Many goals from average strikes he fails to save. Look at inter Miami game and at the beginning of the season when TFC faced the red bulls at home.

Long shot was decent but Bono’s starting position and height was so weird. He made lots of mistake not shown in these highlights too.

I can't place the blame for this one on Bono. His defense was a disaster. Mavinga and O'Neil couldn't handle Kamara and Quito, nor could Criscito and Bradley stop Mihailovic. The only TFC defensive player who wasn't a complete disaster was Laryea, though he wasn't nearly as much of a threat going forward as he can be.

Two things: #1. Give Kei Kamara a permanent home; he literally has an elite season every year but is tossed aside every time, and ironically, every team sucks after he leaves #2. Chris Mavinga is one of the most overrated defenders in MLS; he had a stint with the PSG first team from their academy and got to three MLS Cups, but seriously, he scores at least one own goal a season and usually is the reason Toronto don’t have a man back on all the rebounds Bono gives up. Stop hyping him up, Toronto.

Not sure Bradley is the right manager/coach either? (I just don't understand a person in that position wearing a hoody in a game?!?!?) I don't care what the sponsors say!) I think even I could coach TFC with that roster but I'd request some changes at the back, for sure. Mavinga looked hand cuffed in this game. Bono was bado.

Great game. Uhh, what colour was the keeper's kit and what colour was the Montreal kit? 14% of people are colour blind and equipment managers should simply make the game more enjoyable for everyone. It's a simple request, but one I've made several times during this season.
