Viktor Axelsen (born 4 January 1994) is a Danish badminton player. He is the reigning World and Olympic Champion in Men's singles, having won the 2022 World Championships and 2020 Olympics.[2]
Loh Kean Yew (Chinese: 骆建佑; pinyin: Luò Jiànyòu; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lo̍h Kiàn-iú; born 26 June 1997) is a Malaysian-born Singaporean badminton player.[6] He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat.[7]

Viktor Axelsen is really the best player in men's single badminton today. With his height, he can really come up with a deadly smash shots. His speed and net plays are also amazing. He has improved a lot compared to his younger days against LCW and LD matches. LKY needs consistency in his games because he has many UEs. He tends to move or react fast causing him these UEs. I hope he will win future matches.

In hindsight, LKY should have realized earlier on that any high shuttles returned to Axelson will be immediately smashed even from the back line, because Axelson has superior height advantage. So any shuttle at any height is to his advantage because of height and reach advantage. So LKY should make Axelson run ALL OVER the court. Playing with best strategy, the fittest with the most stamina will have the advantage to win.

Axelsons build and his improvement from LCW/LD era is awesome. LKW was fast but i think got plenty error which can minimized. awesome match still. like smash show lol

It’s bc he already trained that certain save so he should be able to have save those shots but couldn’t bc he already learned it but couldn’t do it so he was mad at himself

That's cuz one side of the court was slippery. You can see even the shots he could easily reach he struggled to reach those cuz he slipped

I don't understand how Victor's service isn't faulted with his double movements whenever he serves - or have rules changed? It's supposed to be one sinuous movement when serving. Both at the fore of world badminton.

i truly believe many top players can beat axelsen whether hes on form or off form. but do it on a consistent basis wont happen until those top players can find their consistency. LKY, LZJ, ginting, popov ( the younger brother not the older). i think these are the 4 players who can consistently beat axelsen if they find there consistency. they ae probably more but i think these are the most likely

VA didn’t already win 2 sets. At the Sudirman Cup, athletes are playing for their own country. The ‘1’ next to VA’s name is not a set that he has won, but rather the mixed doubles game that Denmark had already won against the Singaporean team. Hope that helps :)

average lky hater lmao. LKY never even did anything to show the slightest bit of arrogance, this was just a normal game between both players. 'Showed him his place': 1) to say or do something to show someone that he or she is not better than other people and should not be acting in such a confident and proud way. When was LKY being overconfident? He never said he was better than Axelsen or anything. 2)to make one aware that they are not as important, respected, influential, etc., as they think. Bro the guy is literally world no.4 and has done nothing to lose anyone's respect, and he never thought he was better/more important than VA

Nobody able to destroy axelsen on 3rd match except LZJ (in terms of physical strength, stamina)..khunlavut was just lucky as VA didn't play at his peak performance
