I guess I will be back to listening to that one HQ Remaster of original someone posted on KZbin. TBH I had much much higher expectations for Then Mickey 2, since Then Mickey was amazing. I think it was a bad decision to do it in this style, it should had been a proper remaster of original The music on its own isnt "bad", style is relaxing (though for the most part you cant understand the Johnny due to poor mixing, so I genuinely didnt know the lyrics were the same), but the music on its own is pleasant to listen, its just that it will suffer because of the name and lyrics, because all of us OG Highly Suspect fans will immediately compare it to original and will be like, meeh. The instrumental is more in style of Serotonia. New Album on its own is cool though!

I think the mix is purposely done to make it sound super emotional and almost like he’s crying/whispering. Just by listening to the instrumental this track is supposed to sound eerie. I think if they thought the mix was bad they wouldn’t have even released this song. Definitely was done to sound this way I think. I’ve never heard them release a mix quite like this.

this is one best listened to loudly with over ear headphones and closed eyes, it’s a timeless masterpiece, sounds straight out of Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon with elements of Soundgarden and Radiohead

Kill me now lol But I can’t stand this new marks guitar shit. He doesn’t have his own style, so he just plays what’s written like a puppet. I can’t unsee him playing terribly like he does his keyboard. His shits terrible. Matt’s guitar is tuned low and Js guitar is tuned much sharper in sound.
