Welcome to another gem of Norway. Discovered Kalandra about 2 years ago and love them since. Now, unlike Aurora, Kalandra is a band. The core always being Katrine and the two, on guitars and also keys. Since maybe a little bit more than a year, the drummer got permanent too, I guess. Before, Katrine often did some drumming and singing at the same time. You'll see when watching some of the older live videos. Katrine is doing a lot of the song writing, lyrics and music, plays keys and is a one of a kind talent like Aurora. Kalandra would deserve to be much more known and they got a little bit more public traction (also after contributing to the TV series 'Beforeigners') but compared to Aurora, they are virtually unknown. There also is an indirect connection between Kalandra and Aurora. About 3 weeks ago, you reacted to the Wardruna feat. Aurora song 'Helvegn'. Kalandra some time ago did an amazing cover of 'Helvegn', a wonderful rendition, showcasing Katrine's beautiful and impacting voice. Following the songs to react to, as proposed by jj44, I would add the 'Helvegn' cover. Enjoy the Kalandra journey. As with Aurora, I have yet to find a bad song of Kalandra. And a little detail, Kalandra also has a good relationship with Wardruna, for Wardruna's big live stream concert a few weeks ago, they asked Katrine to be on stage with them as additional singer and in 2022 Wardruna takes Kalandra with them on tour in Europe (not sure if for all gigs), they will be playing in ancient roman theatre (outdoor) in my country July 1, 2022. Guess who will be in the audience?

Very cool about the tour! I hadn't heard that. Einar Selvik signed Kalandra to Wardruna's record label last year, I'm sure in part because of that incredible Helgeven cover. It really is not to be missed.

There’s something in the water of those Scandinavian fjords that produces phenomenal singers. I’m convinced.

The drummer is sporting some elf ears if you really need confirmation of it being magical.

I love Kalandra. Any song by them is good but I really like Brave New World. I think the lyrics will resonate with you based on things you've shared about coming back from the Blackpill life

My favorite from Kalandra is "Brave New World" based on a dystopian social science fiction novel by English author Aldous Huxley, written in 1931. This is real magic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWS8dGR8fLGri9k If you want to hear some harmonies that will almost cut off your ears, then you should listen to this Kalandra cover of Rockettothesky Grizzly Man: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3jSq5KrqZqSiLM

Great reaction! Kalandra is amazing! They're a band from Oslo Norway. Even though they've been around for about 10 years, their debut album dropped just last year, and it's amazing as well. Justjulie44 have made some great recomandations to more Kalandra. But you cant go wrong with any of their songs 😊👍 Btw. I would also recomend you check out another Norwegian band called Leprous. Please react to Leprous- Castaway Angels. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmbHo59vYtGkiLc I think you might like it.

The total sound image they create is very good to listen to even though her voice is a little to soft to pick up on the lyrics. Ear candy.. 😊
