The place where they recorded this was in a abandoned factory and Dany has told that the doorways they where standing in is the entrance to the toilets and since they had not been used for very long it didn´t smell so good. Imagine they did this rewrite in only one week. That´s how long they had to finish the song and submit it to Metallica for consideration on the Blacklist album. And it ended up as the first track on it! They are so talented. The reason Alessia is projected on the wall is because due to travel restrictions they had to do the thing wia Skype and that´s why it did not become a clip where she was present in person.

You need to check out Alessia Cara's KZbin channel by yourself, she has so many funny short vlogs and all what she has uploaded plus her original music of course. She has also been a visiting guest a lot at Jimmy Fallow talk shows when they have these "song" competitions. She is a gem.

First version was in their basement studio known as The Warning Cave in 2014. They still write, compose, rehearse, and podcast from there. There is a behind the scenes video about this collaborative version that is fascinating. Crank your audio up a bit... This is meant to be heard LOUD. The Teatro Metropolitan 08/29/2022 version is f------ AWESOME. That is one of the most well-played, well-recorded, and well-filmed and edited concerts ever released on video by anyone. BTW, this video was assembled mostly by The Warning Team, who also handled the arrangement. Alessia was in Canada, so the collaboration happened over the Internet. It was all done during lockdown for Covid 19...

Another great reaction guys! Loved your takes and enthusiasm. It matches watch we fans feel about this amazing band. By now, TWA has pointed out that the 2014 cover was done at their home studio and not a garage…no worries though! This OMV was completed and released for the Metallica Blacklist album in 2021. So Dany was 21, Pau was 19 and Ale was 16 at the time of recording. As many have already mentioned, you gotta see their tour de force rendition of Enter Sandman at their 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX). Great job; thanks!

One of the most artistic takes of this song you’re likely to see. Nice and creepy. They disturbed some bats filming this in an old textile mill. You can catch a very fleeting glimpse of one flying quickly through near the beginning. They did this one for the Metallica Blacklist album and were instructed to change it up, which they did remarkably well. Alessia was not able to be on location because they filmed during the pandemic when they were on lockdown so she recorded her part in Canada and they projected her onto the walls. Brilliant. This is fantastic their live version at Teatro Metropolitan 2022 is insane. Lars told them "do whatever you like just don't change the lyrics and they nailed it in 10 days with Alessia in Canada TW in Mexico during Covid. Now it's the first track on the Blacklist album as a result. They also do a cover of Atlas Rise at the Whisky a gogo that's very good from when they were younger. Great reaction thanks guys.

Hey Guys! Great Reaction! I highly recommend seeing their live version of this from Teatro Metropolitan. I also recommend watching the only live performance they did with Alessia Cara in person from The Troubadour in LA. If you want to see them do some spectacular harmonies together, watch them do their song "Revenant" from Teatro Metropolitan. BTW, it's not their garage, it's their basement studio, nicknamed "The Warning Cave". They did a full concert live from there, during Covid Lockdown, on their YT channel called "The Quarantine Show", which was not only their great music, but also lots of them being themselves and talking to the viewers (there were about 15,000 people watching live). They are just as charming and lovable in interviews and their vlogs and live chats, as they are ROCK MONSTERS playing live.

I gotta say, we all know (those in TWA) they are foremost a rock band, and throughout their songwriting journey they've tried many aspects of music styles that showcases their diversity. Lately they are releasing new song songs with a different sound and style in an album that is likely to expand on their songwriting journey. Look at what they've done here with Enter Sandman, incorporating a pop sensibility to include Alessia Cara and then meld in their own The Warning sound and then to top it off, factor in Metallica's sound. They know what they are doing and they have a lot to offer, that's what will give them longevity in my mind.

My recommendations: Dull Knives at the Cave and the Teatro Metropolitan version Survive at TEDx and Teatro Metropolitan When I am Alone at TEDx and live at Auditorio Pabellon The TEDx 2017 is another performance that got a lot of us hooked into The Warning. It was for me, I found that video after watching Evolve at the MTV awards late last year.

The Warning *Enter sandman* Backstory: *2014 Version #1* - The Warning's father loaded their "garage" version on KZbin from their basement studio aka music room dubbed *"The Warning Cave"* today shortened to *"The Cave".* Their home studio is set up to record demos. *Enter Sandman* was intended for family & relatives to see the girls progress instead of traveling to Monterrey, MX. After uploading that video. The family went on a cruise. When they returned. They found out *Enter Sandman* went viral. *Strange:* Enter Sandman was The Warning's second video they loaded on KZbin. Their first one was AC/DC's *Back in Black* cover. Gee, wonder why that didn't go viral. Sorry Pau. *2021 Version #2* - Metallica was doing a charity project at the tail end of the pandemic called *Metallica's Blacklist Album* celebrating their 30 anniversary of their *Black Album.* Metallica asked over 50 artists from different genres to put their spin on a song from the Blank album. They were allowed to do whatever *EXCEPT ONE THING. CAN'T CHANGE ANY LYRICS.* Alessia Cara, an Canadian pop singer, was asked to participate. *NOT THE WARNING.* Hence on the *Blacklist Album* it's written as *Alessia Cara & The Warning.* Of the 6 *Enter Sandman* versions (back to back to back) on Blacklist Album. Cara was the first alphabetically. A guy who worked with Cara also did International work for The Warning suggested both artists do a collaboration. Cara recorded her parts in Canada. The Warning did theirs in Mexico due to the ongoing travel restrictions. Official Music Video was directed by The Warning's manager Rudy Joffery. Same guy who directed The Warning's Official Music Video *"Evolve".* Which was shot using 16 iPhones & a drone in side if a parking garage of classic cars. The Warning had eight days to meet the deadline (for pressing the physical album). *2022 Version #3* - With the live *Warning's Enter Sandman version.* They take the pop out & totally Warning fide the song. Alessia Cara's back up vocals (high whooohs) along with Ale & Pau's angelic choir are relegated to the backing track. And some minor changes did live. *2023 Version #4* - They slowed the tempo down a little on The Warning's version. But they added an live string assemble performing with them. When you see them live these days. Enter Sandman might be dropped in favor of their new Warning songs.

Please don’t call the first version “the garage version.” There is no garage. That one was shot in their practice studio, known as The Warning Cave, that is in their basement. It is a full studio with a performance space and a mixing/recording room. Their dad owned a recording studio and when he closed it he moved some of the equipment to the basement of their home. This video was shot in an abandoned textile mill south of Monterrey, MX that is sometimes used as a wedding venue. Alessia Cara appeared as a projection because it was the height of the pandemic and Alessia was in Canada. Travel was out of the question.

Nobody is sheltering TW (they dont need it) the proof is Mettalica approved of this song-vid to be on the Blacklist Album. Go after Metallica's approval not the viewers on this reaction.
