Mattie, your MSR might not be nothing to look at, but you definitely don't have that problem, and more importantly, you are quite a lady and quite a hunter. That was very impressive shooting, better than most hunters I've seen, and it was impressive to see you doing the whole job, processing the animal and carrying the head down by yourself. Good for you and congratulations on a great hunt, and I wish you many many more. You are a credit to our sport.

Just got my first chance to hunt west Texas this December. I took a mature 10 point whitetail, my first big buck. They mentioned Aoudad would occasionally bee seen but I didn’t get an opportunity. I had a blast and want to go back for an Aoudad. Awesome video.

She's a tough, beautiful, and an awesome young lady ( she's no lady, she's a heck of a hunter...Lol) that anyone would be proud of - extremely blessed!! I'm really curious if the audad is good eating? It doesn't appear that you have kept the meat??!! It's one helluva mount/trophy... but, is it good eating?? The MSR is a good rifle, if that is the sort of thing you like, and yes the semi auto action will help you with fast follow up shots, but in my opinion they are often heavy and always ugly. There is just nothing classy about them at all. And the selection of good hunting cartridges for an MSR are kinda slim and a lot of them are "compromise" cartridges, cartridges designed to fit the magazine more than designed for performance, not that they dont perform, but there are a lot of better cartridges that will fit into more conventional hunting rifles. Give me a nice conventional bolt, lever, or classic single shot, even a remington pump. To me an elegant remington 700 bolt with a pretty wood stock, a nice winchester 94 deluxe wood stocked rifle, or a winchester 1885 or ruger number 1 with pretty wood stocks is so much classier. Even a kimber montana or an X bolt stainless with synthetic stock is far classier than an MSR. But isn't it a good thing my opinion doesn't count for much, and we have the freedom (for now) and wide variety from which to fulfill our own particular preferences? So grab your favorite MSR and have a good time, and me and my Browning B78 with the pretty feather crotch walnut, will do the same. Good hunting and may the good Lord bless us all.

Haider Khan, surely you can't be serious! A .22 caliber air rifle has NO PLACE on a hog hunt. You'd really be asking for trouble! It would be comparable to hunting deer with a fly swatter. For God's sake, leave that particular air gun at home if you're going hog hunting!

Haider Khan, Additionally, not only is there no requirement for fps, but it is irrelevant. Instead, you should be looking at foot-pounds of energy. Also, I agree with Generic Toaster Stroodle...A .243 would work with a well placed shot, but I definitely wouldn't go with anything lighter than that. Again, a .22 caliber airgun for hog hunting is absolutely out of the question.

Has Matti got married yet? I guess this year or the next ole Keith is gonna open a Christmas gift with a positive pregnancy test. You'll never top that gift with a grandparent ever especially for Christmas. They'd probably take a picture on one of his game cameras though to reveal it to him on tv in the living room and record every moment which I would because nobody lives forever. What sucks the most is all these dang gender reveal parties that couples have to reveal the gender is kinda selfish if you ask me. That's just a way to get more gifts is all. It doesn't matter what sex the baby is as long as its healthy. Just do everything in camo like the baby will be use to anyways. I know there's got to be a little one coming sooner than later.
