You’ve got to feel for Tom. He commits the ultimate sacrifice and heals someone else when he has 1hp himself, then immediately gets punished by Sentry (which was pretty funny, Rhi has no mercy). The gang shouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to never healing again in the Campaign !

Meteor Swarm is amazing, but making it only hit one region would probably be a better overall experience similar to the other effects - very fun match though

Looks like it'll be slightly overcast, with chance of meteors. Perfect weather for a battle royale! Though it's a bummer that there was a meteor swarm on a 1/8 chance, should've been fireballs at most - after all we want the characters to murder each other, not randomly die from a single dice roll

I dont know why mark made that an option. Its average damage is nearly the party's average health. Even if it triggered on turn 3, it would have wiped everyone. A 7th level fireball would have done less, but still been impactful. Still an entreating fight despite having most of the health stripped off before the start.

@@endthropodindustries8670 Eh, I misjudged. It happens, I'm only human after all. I thought the radius wouldn't catch everyone, that the damage wouldn't be AS bad (players would save/resist/absorb etc). This was just a bit of fun after all.

I hope tom gets an honorary fun coin after this, The turn one death was funny, but realistically it kind of booted him for the game. The whole thing was pretty chaotic and thrown together though, I think the meteor swarm was probably just too much damage, Youll get them next time quill!

This was very fun, but it really highlights how underpowered the enemies are in the main campaign compared to the party. This was the most exciting combat I've seen in Aerois for dozens of episodes, including Zephyr, and it was purely because the people that were fighting were on the same power level. Mark, the RP and lore aspects in Aerois are *awesome* you're doing a fantastic job there, but you really need to buff the enemies in the main campaign to be more on the party's level. You've let the party progress in power well beyond the normal limits of DnD, so using what DnD says the balance should be CR wise and stuff isn't sufficient anymore, you've said multiple times during the campaign you need to up the enemies power but have never done so, and it really feels like there's no stakes. I'd forgot you were even using injury rules in the main campaign cos noones been downed in dozens of episodes. You build up the hype extremely well for big fights but they're just not delivering. I've been cheering for enemies for ages now just so that the stakes are upped at bit. At this point the Calus fight or even the Hadar fight are gunna be a walk in the park I feel. Please balance the combat better, making the party feel like superheroes is awesome from a player/dm PoV and that should be a thing, but you've got to the think of the viewers as well and introduce some proper danger during combat, you're not just playing for yourselves anymore when you're asking people to fund your new studio. Keep up the good work, and hopefully you'll take this on board so combat doesn't feel like a boring foregone conclusion anymore, I feel like just skipping combat when it comes up these days cos I know the party is gunna walk it and be totally fine.

Having seen some battle royales from different campaigns, I think the best ones give something for those who are dead to do which still affects everyone else. Such as, being a ghost and passing information along and teasing, etc, or activating additional environmental effects more regularly based on how many have died, and so forth. This looked like fun, but not for Tom after Qillek died. Fun to see how everything was going, but not really interested in commenting or the like, unlike Mark, who was still running things at least.

Their team has a far greater power gap than Critical role lol. Sentry is basically a god, while Quill and Lucius were basically on the edge of death the entire thing, meanwhile Nova has the highest damage potential with the war crimes spell

There is a power gap if we talk only killing potential. But they’ve all got important roles and the squishy ones can do god-like feats outside of combat too. In combat though, they’re glass canons 100% Sentry: Unstoppable Juggernaut Lucius: Utility support reliable DPS Quill: Healing support Nuker Nova (fitting name): Utility Nuker Aila: Melee Reliable DPS Tank

Feels like Mark should have played a melee character to balance the classes a bit, this was very caster-heavy (and Sentry’s aura was super powerful as a result, if only she ever could succeed a save). Still fun, though!

As some one with D&D PvP experience, I can confirm the Ethereal Realm is super busted for PvP lol cause you don’t drop concentration while in there, so just summon some demons, rub yourself in Ethereal oil, and have a load off while you watch everyone die a salty death 😂

So glad you all reached 200% of your goal. Something you could consider is that since you will have the space setup for DND play and will have the equipment and technology and programs setup to work properly with streaming and recording, perhaps you can rent out the studio on days/times when you won't need it as this would help to support the rent in the future and upkeep, but since you guys reached your goal and more, you COULD use some of the extra money to allow smaller channels/streamers to use the space for free or at a discount and use the extra money to cover the time required by whomever needs to be there to run the equipment and watch over the studio. Just an idea, I understand if you aren't comfortable having others in your space (or at least not right away). Great Job everyone.

I am not positive but I believe if sentry didn't use her 15th level oath of the ancients ability she would have gone to 1 hp so she would have won without the technicality. But it doesn't really matter since she won.

This is the worst way to run a Battle Royale. The meteor storm was completely unnecessary and ruined the experience for a number of players. You could hear the disinterest in Tom's voice when he came back from break. Don't understand why it wasn't just restarted.
