This can depend on the ad objective, personally we like to use existing posts for engagement-based ads (including the views objective) and then we tend to create new ads when they are traffic or conversion because that allows you to play with different types of creative (caption lengths, titles, CTA buttons) which has limitations when using an existing post. @@Highseasonco I have another question if you don't mind. I'm helping a client with their Meta ads management (conversion based ads) with their new business on bridal laces. We've hit 18k reach across 2 ad campaigns (run for 5 days each and at about $5-6 per day) but only had about 115 linkClicks to their Linktree url in total. I think looking at the datas it seems that we are hitting the desired audience which is Malaysian women from 18-55+ year olds (general targeting) who are interested in bridal/laces/engaged (detailed targeting). This would mean that the ads may need to be optimized to improve the number of link clicks, right? Do you think it could also be the budgeting that may have cause the low link clicks? (cause most say that we should start at $10 but my client is on a tight budget😮‍💨)

Hi! So you'd have to tap into their other interests (that Facebook displays). You could target various fashion brands or stores where they may shop, restaurant chains, and other activities. I'd suggest to do a deep give into the demo and psychographics of your audience and note it all down, and then see what Facebook interests are available from there. You could even do an A/B test with multiple ads with different audiences and then double down on the one that performs the best. Thanks! - C

Nice and informative, but you missed out on one the most crucial points - the hashtags on Instagram when promoting your post through the Ads Manager. Best not to have any hashtags cos your post will be promoted anyways, and your post won't get through anyways if you have hashtags. Another very importante thing is to see what ads your competitors are running. This can be done through the campaign ads manager on Facebook. Also working checking out is the ads library on Facebook. Every time I boost a post it gets goes to 'in review' and then straight to 'not delivering' when I click on 'edit ad' I have 2 options there and one is 'delete ad' which deletes the ad if I click on it and the other option is 'resume ad' but nothing happens when I click on that. I have tried boosting different posts, reels, using different audience selection including Instagram's own automated selection. I tried small budget high budget ...NOTHING WORKS.... @@Highseasonco I think I have solved my own issue. I have my Shopify account and Facebook account integrated so on my fashion store, I have lingerie items. So, Facebook looks at that stuff as provocative and I did not know that they were going to bring my whole catalog over to Facebook. I'm new at this so I did not know that it would do that and so they are blocking that content and blocking me from advertising because of that.

Hello and always thank you for your easy to understand videos. Do you have a video that explains how to fix the Instagram problem below ? “Post not promotable. Promotions can't be created until all tagged products are approved. Please try again later.” I have an Instagram shop and I have no problem in tagging my products from Facebook page. And I get no error messages from either Facebook or Instagram. But when I try to BOOST my item and create an add, I get the message above. Thank you.

This is so useful thank you so much. I own a cake company in London and my correctly targeted INSTA /FB ads generate ridiculously low engagement levels even though I do get orders via Insta and FB. I HATE the very low engagement on my page (less the 40) so recently I start widening my audience just for higher engagement levels and it has been BRILLIANT as cakes and easy to promote,. With a low spend, I can hit over 1000 easily which is a high level for my sector. My correct audience is within the wider group. Do you think that this is OK?

Hi Elaine, those are some interesting findings. If you can land on something that works for you, then lean into it! There's no right or wrong answer, so if your audience tends to be in a wider group rather than a more niche group, there's no need to question it. My fb ad account is restricted so that's the only option I have right now boost a post. Can I create a page from a different fb profile (it belongs to someone else) and connect it to my business Instagram??

You can check the ad account via this link (and request reviews): facebook.com/accountquality. You could likely create a new page from a different account and connect it but it may disconnect your current page. You could also try to use someone else's ad account, or even create a new personal page with a new ad account and connect that to your existing Facebook page. Requesting the review and getting it fixed would be the easiest option if you haven't tried it already. Best of luck! - C

Hi, thanks for watching! So if you only run the Instagram ad from Ads Manager, it'll be a dark post. The Ads Manager will never post to your feed for you, you'd need to do that manually and then boost it via Ads Manager. Hope that makes sense! - C

That's how it works - in the beginning, they charge after every ad wraps, or sometimes in the middle of the campaign. Once you're established, they allow you to pay monthly - C

Few days ago, i got notification on my FB that my acc is restricted for ads because i havent turned on two factor authentication yet, but i have already done that, and it said now i can make ads, but when i try it it is just pending... i got 5€ credit for promoting, i tried to use it and it worked, but now i have default credit card, everything is okay, i have no restriction, but i cant do promotions it is always just pending i dont know what to do... Facebook sometimes change your target audience. They creep in and change it without you knowing. You have to look at the audience and edit it every time you want to post an ad, otherwise they will make you believe you are targeting a great audience within the audience you had chosen before, thinking they are giving you good value for money, when it's not true. It's a big con! Another thing, they change the audience with the interests you want. They do not have all categories. What do you do?
