If you make your turn with the needle at dead bottom, you can simply raise the pressor foot, rotate your material to desired direction, and let the pressor foot back down. This is the reason for the foot pedal actuated pressor foot. It allows for quick turning of the material without excessive work and losing your position. The needle, in the down position, is the way it is designed to work. I appreciate the video.

I suspect that after you catch the end of your finger in the bobbin shuttle you’ll keep the bobbin cover on. It only takes once.

Yes, this leather sewing machine use Adler 205 or Juki TSC-441 type large barrel shuttle hook and 794 #250 needle, it can sew with max. V415 thick thread!!

Sadly I did not Purchase it from Neels Sadlery, but I had some problems of My own doing. Ryan was great. Figured out what I did wrong to put the machine out of time and got Me going ASAP. Again, sadly I live in Ohio !

The biggest advantage of this leather sewing machine is the triple feeding system, also call "union feed", "compound feed", feeding material by feed dog, needle and walking foot. Triple feed is very important for leather worker.

The "small round bed" is called a cylinder arm. It allows you to work around curve or round projects like the top of a bag when sewing material that would otherwise lay flat on the table top. It's easier to manipulate the material around and get into tight places, maintaining a straight seam and not fighting the material to make a turn.

+Michael Monk It is not necessary. In American market, most machines go without thread post, some machines sold by Bob still with the thread post. If the machine come with post, just go through one hole.

I don't have, but Cowboy is my dream sew machine. I have standard 1 needle sew machine, sometime when I sew 1 or more layer leather I use manual technic (manual roll by right hand) .... Lol

The problem of your manual machine maybe the feeding system. If you are to sew multi layers of leather, it is necessary to have a triple feed (compound feed or union feed) sewing machine.

I have a question I was looking to get a machine I saw a ga5-1 but the reviews said it leaves marks on back of leather I was looking at this one to just wondering if you get marks on your leather I make dog collars, bible covers out of 4 to5 oz leather so don't need marks on backside

CowBoy CB3200 leather sewing machine use non teeth feed dog, smooth needle plate and saddlery sewing foot, it can avoid the mark on leather. It is triple feed machine, you can use light pressure bar spring also can reduce the mark on leather, GA5-1 is drop feed machine by feed dog, if you remove the teeth on feed dog, the machine cannot feed any more, so it is impossible to avoid mark on leather.
