People in parts of the B.C. Interior are struggling with devastating flooding and mudslides. Many have been forced to flee their homes. As Yasmine Ghania reports, officials warn it could get worse this weekend.

It is very telling that they were not given water or fire barriers given the history of Cash Creek, It's one of the series of small towns that are the only pathway for the rest of the country.

In the near future, no more aid-money will be allocated to small communities like this... The only reason reconstruction money is given, to this comunity, is because of the highway through it.

The minister sounds ignorant on BC. Running Okanagan, Cache Creek, Grand Forks all together like they are surrey Delta Langley. I wonder if she really knows much about these towns? The reporter saying "ree Cree ay tional "; it's "rec re ay tional". My head hurts after this report #sloppyreporting #poorly_worded_statement

People have always built close to water. They drink it. It can be quite convenient to live close to water as opposed to living in a desert and piping or using canals to move it. It's used to wash bodies after hard days at work, clean laundry, flush toilets and other things like that you may also never have heard of. Some reading of non-liberal materials may be of use to you in life.

🤔These are old historic towns and old rivers and creeks. The cause of the flooding is climate change. More snow + more rain = more water, thus floods. Uncharted courses. Can't stop mother nature on her course.😮
