The best series? The acting is so bad, especially Crawford's.
@Richard-t7q1f3 ай бұрын
@@BobChippewa I think you just don't like the show. Most of the actors in it do a pretty good job. Evidently, you have no idea of the limitations of producing a low budget series. One is time and another is the cost of reshooting. For the most part these are very well made and manage to hold their entertainment value quite well. Despite being silly in some places they are occasionally quite moving. Can you do better? Had much experience writing, directing, acting in something like this? Crawford has been dead a long time and still has a huge fan base here.

A Y block can rev to 6000 RPM in mild from so the car probably ran out of brakes and whacked a power pole . There were at least 6 different companies making the triple carb manifolds for the y block in the 50's and early 60's . I worked as a Reserve Cop, and worked with Parole/Probations. I've been working DoD Security and as a Federal Investigator throughout the late 80's and early 90's. The #1 mistake people make is talking to Cops or other Investigators. Even if you are as innocent as a newborn baby you should "Lawyer Up" and not say a word. I've known in my heart of hearts that a guy was guilty as hell but if he doesn't say a SINGLE WORD it is very hard to convict a person unless you have it on video. Even so-called "eye witnesses" break down quite rapidly when a good Defense Attorney gets them to testify. Don't talk to Detectives, even if totally innocent. NO good can come of it PERIOD.

The wrecked '55 T-Bird was no mock up. I've seen enough in my lifetime to know it was real. It sure didn't have a very long life, maybe a year (looks like it was in a rollover) I'm wondering how or if the real life driver survived the accident (often the steering column is what killed many victims) The serial number plate is actually on the left door pillar. The plate they took was the data plate. Looks like someone had more power than they bargained for after putting the triple carb manifold on it !! Nice clean '55 Ford F250 truck there. Most of them I've seen were very beat up.

@freethoughtmusic A guy I went to school with for a while drove a tow truck too but after hauling away what was left of fatal wrecks for a few months, he couldn't handle it anymore so he later got a job with the city in the street dept which he was there for 35 years.

Every episode Dan is involved in a “officer involved shooting”. Technically, he should be on paid administrative leave his entire career. If I was an LEO in those days, I’d carry a S&W Model 27 .357 magnum even as a plainclothesman.

I find it strange... when they talk about cars they never mention the make or model.

I know it's a plot hole, but no self respecting "gang" would have left the t bird sitting. It would have been chopped or crushed by the morning.
