I thought I wasnt going to like this, because it was about a bunch of old people, but I loved it. Turned out that Jonathans assignment was to save his friend and bring him back. That was beautiful. One question Ive always had : What happens when your first love dies and you find love again, like Laura did. When you die, what happens ? Which "love" do you end up with for eternity ? If she ends up with the second one, then what will happen to the first one ? Will he be sad forever ?

Old people, be wary of children, grandchildren.. Anyone with a patronising tone in their voice, who wants to move you into a retirement 'community' or 'village'. Hold on to your independence for as long as you can. Look after your health as long as you can. How many people I've met who were talked into leaving their home of many years, the old neighbourhood. Had to give away the old pets, garden, etc. Not everyone, but many people I've met sunk into depression and confusion. Hold out for as long as you can! Barricade yourself in your room? Tie balloons to the roof (-watch "Up" -)..?? Perhaps.

this episode brings up some interesting points. predicated on the existence of god, and that humans become angels, there would be a tremendous amount of angels in heaven. what reason would god have to torment the prior husband to fix up his spouse with some other man ? and secondly, to even have to know about it. at least in olden days, people married for life. and in this particular case, the couple apparently was married for life, until the one died. that has to be a terrible choice for someone. having the love of their life either not have anyone, or have someone else. i dont know how i would feel about that ? but i am pretty sure that if i was an angel and given a choice, i would prefer not to ever know

Like requiring a lesson in basic humility as opposed to being an exemplar of it like Jonathan or that other angel who wasn't perfect but had a huge love.
