Enjoying these wonderfully visceral episodes. Excellent archival footage. Fascinating to an American Aussie lover.

I'm 60 and remember the old school honorable crims. When I was around 10 I would work in a illegal 2 up premises, me and a mate whose mother would run the games. We would just run around the circle delivering the winnings to the winners and the losses to the boss. I can't tell you how well me and my mate did from tips from the players, who were mostly jockey's, cab drivers, businessmen from the area even lawyers and retired cops. It was a great time growing up because it was a smallish beach side suburb where everyone knew everyone. It's amazing they trusted us kids, but back then it was instilled in you to never be a dobber (to not tell on people, give people up to police or whoever) by your friends, your father, even at school dobbers were told off by teachers. To be known as a dobber was the worse shame and it would also be followed by beatings for the rest of your life, it never left you. Best days of my life growing up there as a kid, so different from these times

That crims like these survive long merely reveals the corruption in both law and courts.

They did things that the police couldn't. It was a relationship of convenience for both parties.

Stan is a very blessed man, he doesn’t come under Gods judgement because he repented and was baptised before he died, his sins have been forgiven and he will have eternal life through the blood of Jesus and the remission of his sins. I do not condone how he lived his life but I am happy that he truly found Jesus and repented. HalleluYAH!!!!

Stan was still a scumbag, and always will be a scumbag regardless of his repentance or baptism. Your logic Amanda would conclude if Adolf Hitler repented on his deathbed and got baptized he to would also be upstairs with the Angels. Get a grip.

You do know he never gave up crime even after being baptised he was still up to something till the day he died.. unfortunately to hear it was only a front to make people thing he had cleaned up his life.

@@paul.i3606what you need to understand is this, to be saved from an eternity in the lake of fire does not require you or anyone to clean up their life, because Salvation is not based on your imperfect performance, if that was true, no one would be going to heaven. Gods standard is perfection, so how do we enter heaven if no one is perfect ? Gods grace, - ( unmerited favour - undeserved and unearned ) no one deserves to go to heaven, we receive eternal life by believing in the one who died in our place, sinless, perfect, his name is Jesus Christ who died for every man, so that by faith they can receive the forgiveness of their sins and eternal life through faith alone in Christ alone. Anyone who says, “ you can’t just carry on sinning “ does not understand that, we all have a sin nature, and they don’t understand Gods grace
