This is the amazing story of how a notorious safecracker got clean away with $5.4 million in gold bars from Kerry Packer. We uncover the true story of how this audacious thief broke into Kerry Packer’s office and cracked his personal safe, revealing a tale that’s so much more than a story of missing gold. It’s a story about loyalty, betrayal and revenge.

What a fucken legend. This Mr X character has to go down in the books as one of the absolute best crooks of all time. He takes $5m off a bloke that can afford it without a doubt and as a matter of fact gets it back at the gambling tables times three and the insurance company as well. Nobody hurt, nobody that cant afford it out of pocket. In my books, the perfect crime, and I tip my hat to him. I just hope that the Secretary saw some of the loot, she deserved it for the role that she played. Kerry did the wrong thing by her and she deserved an earn out of the rort. Well done, to Mr X, you will be remembered for the perfection of the act of robbing Kerry in his own office in Park and Castlereigh Streets. Fantastic mate.

This has all the earmarking's of an insurance screw job! Insure the contents of the safe, pull the contents out and tell the insurance company you've been robbed! Jewelry stores do this all the time! Rich people are not liquid, they are paper and credit rich. This is a good way to get cash, while still protected under the corporate umbrella. Rich people do this with art too.
