I was born in 74 and remember watching reruns of this in Australia as a kid. I loved this show and Touched by an Angel and I’m not particularly religious. These shows always made me feel hopeful about the goods things of our shared humanity. I love having the opportunity to reminisce, and yes I loved the 89’s too! God Bless.

Michael was a very special person. He started in Bonanza, then he did Little House, then this. He had a kind heart and wanted to spread his ideas to all. In real life, he loved kids, had a whole bunch that he adopted.Yep, a good man. We need more Michaels.

*Possibly* Michael Landon would have been a totally different person had he not suffered under his parents abusive behavior and bad example... it gave him a deeper sensitivity and understanding that many fail to learn in this life.

I can honestly say that series from 70s abd 80s were made for families to get together and spend quality time. Back in the day series like this one meant something, there were so many realistic situations portrayed and most people related to them. The pace of the episodes was so that viewers could absorb information. Michael Landon was a very good actor.

Gubbah Who let(created) that happen, was the Zionist Jews(globalists). Why.....because if the woman also works, then the rich corporations make more money. The family now needs two cars, new electronics, more tvs, more washrooms, etc. Then in the 80's, the globalists took their money to China and India, where the cheap labour was, and their living standards went up, while the standards in America went down.

🙆🏼‍♀️ i’ve seen this entire series of HTH before ... more than once. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Life’s been kinda rough lately, can’t get “happy”. Who _IS_ really?🤷‍♀️ Funny though, being at the beginning of this series (once again😏) and realizing there’s a ton more episodes to watch is making me feel like a giant weight lifted from my chest. Like i can breath DEEPLY. Is it the show? Is it me? Is it GOD? Dunno. This is the best i’ve felt in soo long! Actually just nice to be tryna understand something _GOOD_ for once instead of _BAD!_ YES. Must be GOD. _YES._ *_THANK YOU GOD._* 🙏🏻😇💋

I don't remember this episode; if I saw it on the original airing. It made me cry as I'm sure I would have. It was beautifully written and portrayed. When my son's father was alive it comforted me to put my head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat. On the day he died I did the same, and it broke my heart to know his was still and we were no longer synced together. I love that the dying boy told his mother they would always be together and not alone, as he had her place her head on his chest. Our loved ones aren't alone when they die. If they know Jesus then they are excorted to their heavenly rest.👼🏽🙏🏾📖🕊️🙌🏾❤️‍🔥👼🏽

From what I read, after Little House on the Prairie ended Michael Landon pitched a new show to Brandon Tartikoff. He said that while there was a need for comedy, he didn't profess to be a comic. He said he could make people cry and that they would come back week after week. NBC figured that they owed him for his past success with the network. Even though they initially laughed at the idea of Michael playing an angel they decided to let him do it. When ″Highway to Heaven″ became the highest testing dramatic pilot NBC’s ever had, network executives recognized Landon knew his constituency better than they did. The previous highest testing drama pilot? ″Little House on the Prairie.″
