I can honestly say that series from 70s abd 80s were made for families to get together and spend quality time. Back in the day series like this one meant something, there were so many realistic situations portrayed and most people related to them. The pace of the episodes was so that viewers could absorb information. Michael Landon was a very good actor.

The family now needs two cars, new electronics, more tvs, more washrooms, etc. Then in the 80's, the globalists took their money to China and India, where the cheap labour was, and their living standards went up, while the standards in America went down.

Superbly well written and acted, there's nothing out there quite like this anymore, Michael Langdon was perfect for this role as he was in little house on the prairie.

Well he was the boss on both shows, so of course he was perfect in them.

Maybe someone who was upset by the subject matter or just downvoted so the YT algorithm wouldn't suggest more episodes. Not everyone who dislikes what you like is the devil.

I don't remember this episode; if I saw it on the original airing. It made me cry as I'm sure I would have. It was beautifully written and portrayed. When my son's father was alive it comforted me to put my head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat. On the day he died I did the same, and it broke my heart to know his was still and we were no longer synced together. I love that the dying boy told his mother they would always be together and not alone, as he had her place her head on his chest. Our loved ones aren't alone when they die. If they know Jesus then they are excorted to their heavenly rest.👼🏽🙏🏾📖🕊️🙌🏾❤️🔥👼🏽

From what I read, after Little House on the Prairie ended Michael Landon pitched a new show to Brandon Tartikoff. He said that while there was a need for comedy, he didn't profess to be a comic. He said he could make people cry and that they would come back week after week. NBC figured that they owed him for his past success with the network. Even though they initially laughed at the idea of Michael playing an angel they decided to let him do it. When ″Highway to Heaven″ became the highest testing dramatic pilot NBC’s ever had, network executives recognized Landon knew his constituency better than they did. The previous highest testing drama pilot? ″Little House on the Prairie.″
