He is faintly amusing, though, and quite entertaining. If you can see past the paedophilia. I did that by remembering what his TV show used to be like in the 70s or 80s, and trying to forget the creepy stuff. Although that swimming pool story was a bit of a tricky one to negotiate. Remember humour changes over the years, and also taste varies. Some people find Eddie Murphy funny, but I can scarcely raise a smile at any of his stuff any more. I used to think Monty Python was really funny, and it's still very clever, but not likely to lead to belly laughs in the 21st century.

@@christopherbedford9897 I get that, re Eddie Murphy I never found his stand up routine funny, but I love his comedy in films. Re Rolf Harris, I loved his TV shows as a kid. I don't know if I could ever watch them the same way again. I would love to ask the kids that were on his show then (adutls now of course) what it was like.

Rolf's comedic style is so different to every other compare's (esp Angus). Maybe its the Aussie humour vein, but he reads everything like a suspenseful campfire yarn. I find it quite endearing. (Yeah yeah yeah, we know you don't like his kiddie fiddling, but if you're going to respond, just for one moment, try to stick on topic of this specific HIGNFY performance above, or just chat about Julia's cleavage ... which might be closer to your moral sensibilities).

I didn't criticise or praise his personal sexual proclivities because they were not on display or under discussion in the video above. It must be hard going through life completely dismissing EVERYTHING about a person because you don't like one thing about them, and are not mature enough to discriminate when to voice your criticisms and when not to.

Objectively, I thought Rolf was a great host for the programme. Yes, what he did to children was totally reprehensible, but I'm one of the few who thinks we should be able to separate and acclaim professional skills (during an entertaining performance) from personal failings/crimes. One bad trait does not anull all aspects of one's humanity. (Herewith ducking for cover).

Absolutely. I'm all for making the division, and enjoying the art. However, RH was no artist. Yes he was very talented entertainer, but predominantly on youth oriented programmes, whilst being a sex offender. It is very difficult to see one without, now, thinking of the other. I don't think you should feel too guilty if you enjoy humming Two Little Boys though!
