We've got plenty of options for ranged bait ops and before her module, Lin's SP gen wasn't anywhere near as crazy as it is with module currently. Now she gets the best of both worlds being the tankiest ranged operator in the game + good uptime AoE DPS so long as you're using her as intended.

I remember the mixed feelings of when Lin first came out on CN and looking at her kit. On one hand, I liked the character, her kit, and phalanx casters On the other, everything I was hoping to see in a Phalanx module was suddenly Lin exclusive and my dear Carnelian would remain an unfortunate operator.

Friendly reminder that, just like with Carnelian, Lin have huge synergies with Aak specially after module With her module, Aak can shoot Lin and not only give her the buffs, but also abuse the SP talent to charge Lin by up to 30sp if lucky enough This is pretty huge considering Lin's S3 cost 50sp, but with Aak technically you'll only need to wait 35 secs (Aak's S3 cool down) to instantly activate her S3 + even more crazy damage thanks to the aspd But also also you can reduce the cooldown thanks to Ptilopsis, which reduces Aak's S3 to almost 20sp, so yes, you'll only 20 seconds to go crazy with Lin And if you ask, when both are buffed by aak, Carnelian still wins by having higher Burst DPS, but with Lin you'll get faster skill cycling, aka more damage than with Carnelian (cries in Carnelian's mod sucks) Anyway, thanks yii for the vid, we love you and your kyaaa

I mean I wouldn't really say Carnelian's mod sucks because it still makes her tankier which is one of the main reasons you would use a phalanx caster rather than an AOE Caster anyway, it's more of a situation of "Carnelian's talents and skills are just worse than Lin". Maybe if the module improved her SP charging talent instead of the health regen, it would make her better but as of now, Lin is just better full stop.

Never understood why bench Lin. For example: she can enable medicless lanes by tanking plus an op barrier which becomes invincible if combined with high DEF or RES. Not to mention her S1 M3 ATK is similar to Eyja's S3. Actually, Lin S1 can solo defend the left lane from Ending 1 boss of IS3. Crabs stop too often inside her range, and catapults are too slow to get out on time. Or any lane with ranged enemies without Arts or high ATK. I feel that people who believe she is trash simply don't know how to use her, or aren't creative enough, and are used to use operators who clean maps with the press of a button.

Went to roll 60 for El, got lin on the very next roll with my daily freebie, Phalanx caster is the most slept on class in the game, it's so incredibly useful to have strong enemies not pop in and annihilate your ranged characters instantly. Lin is also getting a module soon that significantly increase Res and Def while skill is active

Honestly, Although people regard chalter as "absurdly broken" I feel like it just doesn't even apply anymore. After playing the game for so long and having a team of strong 6*s using chalter and setting up around her is more of a pain than it is just to play the stage and win. Same deal with ling.

i mean she is still broken, i don't know what set up you talking about honestly? you can literaly put her down on your opener even without flagpipe, pioneer and myrtle is enough to do so i haven't find any map where it's impossible or hard to put chalter down, usually it just my choice not using her since im playing on 4 star only lately. ling can solo a lot of stuff, but if you already built your squad and not playing low ops then there's no reason to use ling but still doesn't change the fact that she's very strong, you can still use her dragon to line hold as usual

Seems like she's much better at what I've been trying and failing to use Carnelian; a ranged tank who can hit back or a scrapper behind enemy lines sustained by Skalter/Perfumer. Carnelian is either completely dead or overkill and can get chipped down before her healing can make a difference, while Lin can outright ignore that kind of damage and has a way of hitting back even during downtime. Carnelian's bulk being hidden behind charging really kills her applicability; her module should've given her a similar on-hit SP function, since she needs it more instead of that horrid max HP increase. Her module y needs to either completely ramp up her talent or completely change how it functions like Eyja's module x.
