The reason why men inherit double that of women isn’t due to gender inequality-but rather due to the fact that the inheritance of man, along with his wealth, will be spent on the womenfolk in his household and his family, since that’s his responsibility. The share of a man is not his, whilst the share of the women is completely hers. That’s what the sheikh should’ve said-because I felt as tho he didn’t really explain the verse itself but tried to work around it, and Allāh knows best.
@bullseye9723 Жыл бұрын

As an African Muslim I have made a conscious decision to make Hijra from the lands of the west I know there’s the Hadith of one gets what they intended by Hijrah but I think rather than marriage prospects it would just be better to go to a place that has Islam as a culture & religion in a traditional way . I know this is a skit but it reflects what really occurs here in the west that’s why Ramadan I have even went more Monk mode to mentally prepare myself for hijrah the behavior of progressive Muslim men & women alike drove me out

That’s actually interesting considering western Muslims are less progressive than the ones in Muslim countries. You will be surprised by what you see in the youth who live in Muslim lands. I am a Muslim living in Japan. Since entering high school, I have had a fear of not wearing the hijab because of religious orders. on the other hand I also have a fear of discrimination. Do you think this is permissible in Islam for the safety? can you make a video about it?
@everythingandroidois Жыл бұрын
Discrimination by some is not a good reason to ignoring an obligation. However, if you are in a case where people in a community will harm you if you wear it then I have heard Scholars allow this, but it is under a state of having no other choice, not this case. Japan is not a racist place as far as I have seen, they are understanding of Muslim people and even have many halal places in colleges I have heard. Try your best to wear it and please Allah, even if you displease some people. "5 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 6 Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 7 So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. 8 And to your Lord direct [your] longing." - Quran 94: 5-8. "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions." - Quran 4:69. "Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."" - Quran 3:31 Assalamualaykum.

@@adiba9734 just try your best to wear, Allah does not burden us with more than we can handle, so it is definitely possible to handle it... "Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability..." - Quran 2:286. But verbal attacks are the case everywhere, even we sometimes (a lot) as Muslims, people verbally attack us and bully around the world for being Muslim but that must not stop us from fulfilling our rights as Muslims. As for jobs, if you really think about it, Allah is the one who gives provision. So think about it, if you fulfil the obligation Allah gives you, do you think Allah will put more blessing and goodness in your life and hereafter or less? "...We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness." - Quran 20:132. Have a good one, inshaAllah, try your best sister, Allah will help you undoubtedly in every step.
@snowecaddel94543 ай бұрын
That’s such a good question…I’m a hijabi in Canada, and I was afraid to put it on because I went to a mostly white populated school where no one wore the hijab. My school rules state that no discrimination/hateful attacks can be made against another for their beliefs/ethnicity/race, e.t.c. I’m not sure about your region and your country’s regulations though. Are you able to seek protection in any way? Maybe someone could protect you? Maybe your friends would support your choice to wear it and they’ll protect you? Protection is a pretty big aspect because I know it hurts to be discriminated against for your beliefs.

Make sure you fully understand Islamic law. Listen well to the above, The man is supposed to pay for the woman's maintenance, even if it is in Europe. Many Muslim men are happy for their wives to go out to work full-time, give them money, and leave them with pennies. Then 30 years later, he says, you did nothing. After spending a life of cleaning, cooking, washing, and working. In Islam the woman can hold the divorce, meaning she can divorce him if she wishes, but many men usually want that as well. Be prepared, for the big shift, you will leave all your family, behind. Once married, you're told, no music in the house, no pictures, toys, statues, everything. YOU HEAR THE WORDS, YOUR THE QUEEN OF THE HOUSE, YOUR LIGHT, LIGHTS UP THIS ROOM. ALL NICE WORDS. WATCH THE ACTIONS. Does he/she take you out to nice places, NOT JUST MACDONALS.

As a woman, this was not helpful at all. And it is definitely not helpful for young Muslim men in the West. The video made it seem like Islamic principles are in accordance to liberal values on "equality" but that is simply false. Men have authority over women and one of the reasons is that they are responsible for their family's well-being and security. Why are we watering this down by saying men and women have equal value in front of Allah? That goes without saying and does not need to be repeated. What does need to be repeated is that wives must respect and obey their husbands. This conjures up images of a tyrannical husband with a doormat wife only because we have been fed the Western, liberal worldview. Reality is far more nuanced. If Andrew Tate's popularity has taught me anything, it is that men are sick of being told they are domineering and toxic for not giving in to women's demands for "equality".

Men and women are equal in reward. Meaning, no gender will get reward or more reward because of their gender. If thats what the imaam is talking about, then that is not watering down the religion but is part of the religion. But in marriage, Men have a greater right than the wife because of the things you mentioned.

Shaykh tells we shouldn't go to any of the TWO extremes. OK. Yet the main guy in the video who refers to Qur'an and is supposed to be one of the two extremes is portrayed as arrogant and evil, while the main girl in the video, who's supposed to be other side of the extreme is portrayed to be a more decent person. Associating that guy with such improper qualities is major BS to me. Shaykh speaks correct but incomplete and tries to appeal feminists which is also another major BS. Bad video overall.

Exactly my thoughts. I can smell feminist propaganda so easily now that from the first 2 minutes I knew they were trying to categorize “strong traditional Muslim men” into the “heartless, evil,racist,arrogant,misogynist” category. Therefore making the audience despise him and his views regardless of what he is saying is from the Quran. Why was it necessary for him to purposely lie to a random Muslim sister about praying in a dirty janitorial closet? Why does he have to racistly classify the Pakistani brother as another Indian? Straight propaganda

great content. barakallahu feehi but please change the title. nowhere in that video did that lady tagged herself a feminist or raise a point about one. she asked the same question as everyone else. even the "feminist" question was by a guy. Alhamdulillah, great and brilliant replies from the lecturer. May Allah reward you generously. (Change the title though).

@@taofeekbakare990 "Systematic oppression" and "always being so patriarchal" when he brought up "gender roles and responsibilities" is definitely what a feminist would say so I have no idea what you are saying, the title is right. @@everythingandroidois waalaykum salaam waramatullahi. what you described is exactly the problem with this ummah, and why people are sceptical of asking questions or learning about the deen. neither the lady nor the guy label themselves feminist or red pill (notice how you didn't call the guy feminist despite asking same question). we are more critical and falsely labelling people when they seek clarification, rather than point them to the right direction. and it's unhealthy. these are fellow Muslims brothers and sisters asking questions like everyone else, labelling them feminists or red pill is wrong. Allah musta'an

We should really question why are we even asking those questions in the first place? Why is it that for 1400 years we had no issue with this but only started asking those typical questions last 2-3 decades

Been following and watching OnePath Network for a long time and I must advise, fee sabeelillah: Please do not go down this path of showing women's 'awrah / beautified / make-up'd, etc. The same video can be produced while filming from the back + her arguing the same points. Plus, the complete mixing and men sitting behind women, etc...please my brothers and sisters, so many of us were so happy and hopeful regarding OnePath Network's trajectory. Please nip this in the bud. You know better than me. I will continue to support and pray for you all...but please do the right thing.
