Que pena que los locutores sigan hablando...lo bueno sería dejarnos ver el Kata en silencio y ver como se mueve y pelea ...es que no paran de hablar, además de cosas triviales lo mejor es que lo dejen para después. De todas maneras Sandra hizo un 10.felicidades!

ok, so... I totally understand the benefits of katas. And to an extend, I don't have anything against kata competitions... But a competition where its 1 vs 1 kata... Just freaking fight... Kinda weird to me to have a "match" of kata...

What I'd really love to see in kata competitions is each competitor having to show the bunkai (application) of some parts of the chosen kata. And before someone tells me that "oh, they do that in team kata", no, I'm not talking about that fancy bullshit that just looks good but is NOT in ANY way, shape or form, what the founders of these kata intended the applications to be, I'm talking about real, useful, self-defense based applications of these techniques, so the competitors can prove they know what these techniques are all about, and are not just good at making them look pretty.
