Hikaru is just casually chatting with streamers while he’s mindlessly humiliating 1900s with trash gambits. And here I am, sweating blood over battling 1200s. The gap of possible growth is so steep in this sport it’s mind-blowing. And the engines are pushing 3800s and can smash this guy..

Skydiving is not only for the adrenaline dump. It’s for the clarity of mind. There is nothing like when they say one minute out and you stop forgetting about the shit that holds no value yet it’s stuck in your brain. That all seems to disappear and then when they say 30 seconds even more of the useless junk in your mind fades and you just worry about doing what you need to in those next few minutes/seconds. Such a great cleaner of the mind.

Queen can discover a check. Moving king is best move according to lichess engine. Goes from +.9 for white to +2 for white taking the bishop. White Queen to C3, black knight to d5, white knight to e4, black bishop to f6, white knight takes f6, kings takes f6. And you’re just in big trouble.

Boston Mike an 1800? No way. More like 1400-1600. He doesn't know openings or endgames and constantly makes huge positional and tactical mistakes. However, to his credit, he can be quite resourceful and play interesting moves to try to unravel out of bad positions. I agree that Carlini and Mark the Duck are about 2200, but most of the crew is firmly below 1700.
