I Putu Widiantara Amazing to see someone who can tell which real-world game was emulated in the cartoon. Thank you heaps for your insightful comment.

No, I did not realize this by myself. The anime has a website that mention about all the games in the movie are based on the real life matches. I forget about the website though. Sorry

This is an anime where you understand nothing from the beginning, & understand nothing till the end. But you will watch it, & forever remember existence of SAI, salute.

HAHAHA your right. Sai has to be in my top 5 masters in anime. Really great character

Exactly tried to pick up the game too couldn't understand shit
@Christopher._M4 жыл бұрын
@@jaxthedrophunter4148 I picked it up but I quickly learned that it would take forever to master. It would take a while to be able to even play a decent game. Someone has to teach you or you need books to learn. If you try yourself it's more difficult and obviously will take longer.

Almost 2019... and KZbin had to recommend this to me out of the blue. Like really this show means a lot to me. I love it but u showing me this is gonna make me binge watch the whole anime again XD
Hikaru no go is one of the most underrated sports anime sadly Really love this anime ❤️ The end in the last movie wasn’t that bad, but I wish they hade completed the story

waNekowe reportedly the author closed the manga coz the Korean go society were putting pressure on him to close it becoz they showed Korean players in a bad light
@waNekowe6 жыл бұрын
Yellow Hero I don’t think he showed them in a bad light, imo at least .. If they think about it, the.. erm what was his name? The one who have blue hair & went to Korea to strengthen his playing He complemented their playing all the time, & how he felt weak compared to them
@yellowhero54136 жыл бұрын
waNekowe I'm not saying they showed, it was the Koreans pov. And his name was Izumi and he went China, not Korea
@waNekowe6 жыл бұрын
Yellow Hero well.. that’s even more sad if it was only their pov.. & thanks for reminding me of his name & correcting my info I really need a rewatch of Hikaru no Go, it’s been at least 10 years since I last watched it
Sai... Please come back, we miss you and I always cry for the end but I hope the true happy ending like Sai future meets pro Shindo and be rival in 2020.

One of my favorite anime's. I've watched it 6+, and I still have no idea what's going on in the games, but can't pull my eyes off the screen. That's what I love about anime, they can make anything good. I really wish there was a great deal more of this series. To anyone interested, they do have this English Dubbed, and they did a decent job with it. They do an incredible job of making you feel just how serious the world of Go is, as a sport. I love reliving the vibe I get from this anime.
@draganatodorovic37565 жыл бұрын
World of Go IS really serious, and game is interesting by itself, it's just genius.. and it is not "anything"... You can check rules and try to playing some games, because it just sounds stupid that you watched this anime 6 times and you don't even know what is about....
@SJNaka1012 жыл бұрын
@@draganatodorovic3756 this show is not really about go... Go is just part of the setting. Like any sports anime, the sport is just the medium through which these stories are told and the characters are developed. It's a show about being human. I love the game, and I was inspired to play it because of this show. But like, it's okay for someone to just love the show for the story and characters. Imagine if someone wanted to gatekeep haikyuu if someone else loved the show but never learned anything about volleyball. It's just a silly attitude to have, man.

Me too, never get to understand that game but damn what an awesome manga!
@VRIceblast2 жыл бұрын
@@draganatodorovic3756 My point was, you don't have to know anything about the game of go, to love this series. The series does teach you how to play, but that's nothing for what lvl of play they are doing in the series. Watch the series for the characters, their passion for the game, just the vibe of everything, and the fact that they could cause someone that knows nothing of the game, to love it. That's excellent storytelling right there!
I don’t know what I just watched, nor do I know why it was recommended, however, it was a friggen roller coaster from start to finish

Its an anime about GO. GO is a Japanese board game and a kid entering the world of GO is what the anime is about. I know it's been a year or more since you commented this but you should consider watching it. Its surprisingly entertaining.

The anime is called "Hikaru no Go" if you want to find it. It got my kids into playing I-Go with us. Great board game. We play it when we get bored with chess or other strategy games.
In my middle school we played go as a class team event. If half of the students say this show I believe the matches would be more interesting. Over all that was a really good match.

At the end of this anime su Yong ask hikaru why he is playing go. And hikaru answers ' I want to connect the far past to the far future". Because this time around I guess they forgotten the ancient game. Just like igo. It's because of fastest technology.
