Hike to Granite Mountain in Washington State

Granite Mountain is a very tough hike with 3,800 feet of elevation gain in 4.3 miles. In the high meadows before the summit the fall colors were turning spectacular shades of yellow, orange, and red. There is a lookout at the top, however, when we hiked (September 17th, 2018) the lookout was closed for repairs. Despair not though, the views from the summit are still spectacular.
