Fantastic video. Great footage. We hiked the Wall Lake loop counter-clockwise July 10, 2023. Less snow. :) Keep up the good work.

Holy Fuck! Outstanding work gents, on par with many other, much more popular channels - in fact this is a better backcountry video than most I've seen on those channels. This is yet another incredible Wilderness Area (American's best idea, not national parks) and another sterling example as to why it is in fact the spectacularly diverse Rockies of Western Colorado, so many different landscapes, colors and shapes, that ultimately makes the strongest case as the best section of the entire Rocky Mountain System. Flat Tops is supremely underrated and a fantastic geological example of an uplifted plateau, its lushness is such a contrast with the rest of Western Colorado where Grand Mesa underlines the mighty Colorado Plateau with its psychedelic, colorful desert mountains, canyongs and monoliths.

I appreciate the compliments! Yeah I live here in Colorado and I'm still finding new geological diverse spots in the state I had no idea existed!

Great video. Really draws you in to the experience. At 14:38, I was even annoyed by the sound of the mosquito which seemed like it was buzzing in my ear.

Thanks! My first time experiencing backpacking with mosquito overload. Those fellas were all over the camera lol

I was a backcountry wilderness guard there in the early 90's and I can't shake how much beetle kill has happened. It's devastating

Saw your Capitol Peak video from a while back - gave me some good perspective on the scrambling difficulty. What time of year did you summit?
@WillHaack Жыл бұрын
Capitol we did early October :) Probably best in August or September though
