I think this video is the best formula for your films. 1.Peaceful and quiet hike scenes. 2.Have fun in your explanation/ad break. The juxtaposition of the two half’s are broken up nicely and keeps the audience engaged. Thank you for your work, it’s great!!

Matt Mancini I would plan where you’re trying to stay ahead of time for sure then and look at the satellite map on AllTrails. Up in the high altitude alpine zone (which is where we stayed) the trees get super small/weak.

Hey Kraig. Love your videos, thanks for the beautiful images. You’re showing off some of Washington’s best spots, but I was pretty disappointed seeing you camp twice on top of alpine meadow vegetation. We have a LOT of people hiking here that aren’t taking proper care to leave no trace. It’d be great to see you set a better example with your platform.
@morty4124 жыл бұрын
Kraig, awesome as usual. Two things: agree with starting hike later. We have been hiking the Sierra's for years. We now ONLY start hiking at dusk, into the night. No bugs, people, cooler. It is easy once your eyes adjust. Second: your creek crossing. TIP: Always look ahead to the shoreline. NEVER down. Try it! Seems a bit counterintuitive but it works to keep steady progress.

You got such amazing weather and great shots. That hike is insanely beautiful. There is nothing about rainier national park that isn’t stunning. I grew up out there. I miss it. The fog there is world famous. But it burns off. And honestly I love the fog too. Your shot from the ridge line of Adams and rainier was surreal. Makes the mountains look like they were floating. It gets super windy out there. You need to be as low of elevation as possible to avoid it. But then no real views. Lol. Lots of horses up there too. Hope you enjoyed your time up there. Thanks for posting. I really want to go on that trail. Every time I see someone film goat rocks it makes me want to go.

If there was a soundtrack to these videos (which I wouldn't recommend - your signature style of beautiful landscapes that sing for themselves is gorgeous) then it might be Cat Steven's 'I love my dog'. Seriously though, these are terrific - there are no other videos I save for watching on a huge smart TV. Anything less doesn't do them justice. Love your work Kraig - I hope it brings you as much pleasure as it does your audience.
