I hiked 15 Miles in one Day in a remote Mountain Range in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. No other people, no distractions, just nature. Enjoy!

Thanks for showing the world the magic of our alps and forests. I understand why Swiss citizens learned to live with nature a sufficient life decades ago. The diversity from so many different climates, cultures and even languages is so unique in switzerland. Staying on the top of a mountain brings you new perspectives on everything which is going on in your inner world. Keep up the videos! Looking forward to return to the alps when my international research is done. 🙏🙏

I hiked up Gumihorn not having planned it, in city clothing, no gloves, just good sneakers (trainers). The feat isn’t that hard at all, and I was soon atop the mountain with no other hikers though it was summer (popular hiking season). There was about 25 feet of a nearly circular space atop the mountain. On my way up, rocks had come off (small ones) in my hands. I hadn’t planned on summiting, but I just kept going. And once there I just admired the view of Lake Thun and one other (I don’t know that I ever got the name but I could/should). It was SO beautiful and the sun shone in a bright blue sky. Then I noticed dark clouds rolling in below me. J realized it was raining BELOW and wind was picking up, and though one person said he’d wait for me way below, I didn’t know if he would be there or if I’d find him (ie might miss one another’s locations). I climbed down which I find much harder on my legs than going UP (this is normal, right?), through the clouds, with wind slamming my face and cold rain pelting me. I supppse I had chosen a good time to leave ... but it had been like being outside an airplane with the clouds (and “weather”) below me. I want to do it again soon. I will be wholly solo. The EIGER is my favorite place on earth....I’ve not climbed any of it just sat below it (above Grindelwald) so many times watching the clouds circle round, whether the sky is blue or gray). I used to want my ashes scattered there. Now I’ve no one who will or would do that, but I don’t feel my body needs to be there after my death- just before!!! Again, abd maybe again. Maybe I’ll climb the Eiger. You say in another video (with the secluded cabin that I wonder if I’ve seen before of that side of the Eiger.... I had thought a cabin I saw was concrete and steel... but I had no telephoto lens or telescope to tetcto look more closely. Perhaps it’s where you went in that video entitled “secluded cabin”?). You suggest the NORTH FACE of the Eiger seems daunting to you to climb and say you “look at it every day”.... But I hope maybe to climb up it on one side or another, one day. If not, I’ll just sit above Grindelwald at a spot I’ve taken several friends and family members to see, and watch the gray clouds swirl around the mountain whether quickly or as more often I’ve seen, slowly curling around the mountain as if caressing it. My favorite place on earth. I’m repeating myself. I’ve subbed today. (10/3/21). I hope to see my beloved spot soon. Thank you for making these videos; they are breathtaking and beautiful, dramatic in the most realistic way (not hyped up like some).

You stated: "You say in another video (with the secluded cabin that I wonder if I’ve seen before of that side of the Eiger.... I had thought a cabin I saw was concrete and steel... but I had no telephoto lens or telescope to tetcto look more closely. Perhaps it’s where you went in that video entitled “secluded cabin”?)." The cabin in his "secluded cabin" video is NOT the cabin on the Eiger ridge. If you ever really want to climb the Eiger, I would suggest you start by climbing the Eiger ridge and over to the Jungfraujoch. It is considered a fairly challenging climb and even more difficult than for example the Matterhorn ascent. Once you've checked the Eiger Ridge box, the Eiger north face is still WAY more difficult, but at least you'll have experienced the 1500 meter vertical drop off from above. I'm assuming you ARE aware the Eiger is the most deadly climbing route in the Alps and should only be attemted by climbing pros that fully understand and accept the risks. The rest didn't survive to warn others about it... Good luck!

Just left 2 comments nearly identical and a bit long(!). I’ll return to fix this (condense one, and leave it). I’ve got a nasty stomach ache and was trying to pass the night distractingly myself ... luckily found this and have subbed. ( I hope you will make more videos and that you are alright. I’ve heard the pandemic makes everything hard even in heavenly Switzerland, and life can always be hard for other reasons as well.) Thank you SO MUCH for making these videos! This one is made so close to my favorite spot on Earth!

Another excellent video! Are these routes actual "official" paths or just places you found and explored? I've always been a bit nervous hiking alone anywhere remote in Switzerland due to worries about taking a tumble, needing help and not seeing anyone for days on end!

Hi, I basically grew up in that area, so I know all the mountains and little paths shown in this video. I link them up in a way that allows me to get to good places for filming, and also to avoid other people. Some of the link-ups are not official trails, but rather just a "mountaineer's" route or some Ibex path. It's good to bring your map and have a back-up plan.

Them Alps are so beautiful .. The drone shots are unmatched and if I had a choice or if I had enough money I'd build a house in them mountains or in like Obersalzburg .. Its just a dam shame that Hitler was such a Maniac disgrace to history because the Berghoff was a work of art but leveled and even cooler and a more beautiful of a place was the Eagles nest.. But them views u captured here are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen along with one's in Germany..

I thought a cabin built “into” or “affixed to” the Eiger perhaps made of concrete and steel... I had no telephoto lens or telescope so as to look more closely. I did not ask the local people (silly of me). But perhaps it’s made of wood and the same place you went in that video you entitled “secluded cabin”?). You suggest {in the “secluded cabin” video} that the NORTH FACE of the Eiger seems daunting to you to climb and say you “look at it every day”....
