You’re right about the names, Mt Townsend actually look like a mountain and mt Kosciuszko looks more like large mound. Our school bushwalking group had a policy to put an extra rock on mt Townsend when we climbed it and to take a rock off mt Kosciuszko in the hope that one day my Townsend will reclaim its place in history.

Great memories, I walked through there as a school kid 40 years ago. The thing to be careful about in thunderstorms is to keep away from the metal walkways for oblivious reasons ….

Yeah I looked at that walkway and felt it was actually quite dangerous!

Hey Chris, thinking of hiking in November. What was the wheather/temp like?
@ChrisIsOutside25 күн бұрын
@@eatpraybrightboquet it was in the high teens but the air had a chill to it when the wind blew. I think this year November would probably be a pretty good time, but you might need a jacket
@ChrisIsOutside25 күн бұрын
@@eatpraybrightboquet also, the weather can change very quickly up there as you can see in my video. Keep an eye on the weather and possibly take different things to be prepared for different conditions. I had a poncho in my bag cuz there's nothing worse than getting very wet and potentially cold when hiking
