Hiking Camp Claiborne Trails and Ruins - Trails in Louisiana Near Alexandria

My recent trip (8/22/2020) to the Claiborne multi-use trails.
With over 70 miles of trails, historic Camp Claiborne has a lot of exploring for me to do. For years I considered it just an ATV trail and after my Louisiana Trails thru hike, I wasn't interested. But while researching routes for my Kisatchie Trail project, I revisited it.
I wanted to create the most linear path possible, so it would be enjoyable for hikers. This is my first attempt at this and will be back soon.

Great hike! Lots of ruins for sure. 19 miles is a good day regardless of who you are.I can't do those kind of miles anymore,lol. I have a friend who lives near Shreveport and I just told him to check out your channel.He comes up here where I am and hikes in the mountains a couple times per year but needs to find some trails near where he lives.

I'm assuming that the big circular wall was a cistern. Also, Claiborne was a POW camp late in the war.
