“So far this hike has been easy”. Haha. Yes for you, but many think it’s challenging. I practically died on the steep stairs.

Jess naming the 'weird' animals reminded me of that species of tortoise (I think giant tortoise but could be something else) that apparently everyone found so incredibly tasty that it took hundreds of years to even classify and describe them scientifically because people couldn't help themselves and ate all of them

@@AdventureArchives -- hahaha it's so nitpicky, you get it right the next time you say it in the vid anyway ;) oahu has so many incredible hikes, most of them not well known by visitors... but diamond head is just a must. made me nostalgic to watch this

I've seen "mainland poke" and generally I'd rather eat poke from a local shop that I forgot on my car's dashboard for a few hours...

@@Komainu959 Ohana Poke in Downtown Los Angeles is near authentic the family has vacationed in Hawaii every year since they were little. There is also Ali'i Fish Company they buy the fish directly from the Honolulu Fish Auction. There is also one more poke place but I can't remember the name off the top of my head that makes near authentic Hawaiian style Poke. Also there is nearly 50-100 poke places here in Los Angeles have you tried them all.

My goal is to only eat meat that I have had to personally "process." I have never done it before, and I feel a detachment from the animal's sacrifice when I buy pre-processed and pre-packaged meat. I think actually going through the difficult aspects would give me a greater respect and appreciation for life and food in general, and treat all animals equally, not arbitrarily.
