Also, keep in mind if you take a pet, can your pet handle walking as much as you guys. Especially if he’s a small dog. Four steps for him is one step for you. Does your pet wanna walk all day. Just because you do doesn’t mean they do or can.

this is the first day hike gear that even talked about electrolytes .. that is one huge plus ... I always carry electrolytes and glucose tablets while hiking... even if I don't need them I might come across someone who does... Great video

Garmin makes great stuff, my aunt actually works for them and we use to have them. We have just found with the newer GPS apps we can just save everything to our phones and it's fewer devices to charge.

There is no such thing as "knowing the weather" in the high Sierras. Even in summer, at high altitude, weather changes on a dime. I've been under clear blue skies and within a hour or so been engulfed in a white-out blizzard in Southern California mid September. Just be prepared for ANY weather.

Trivial side note... caffein is NOT energy - it's a stimulant. Carbs and sugar are energy. Be careful what you recommend. Some people like myself might be sensitive to caffein which can affect heart rate. I learned while hiking that I was sensitive to caffein. Even though I was not consuming it on the trail, I was a regular green tea drinker, which affected me in the long-term. During strenuous exercise my heart went crazy and I became short of breath and near passing out. Quiting tea cured that immediately. No caffein for me.

Hey Jesse, I live in Rancho Cucamonga. I have a Keystone 35 Montana 5th wheel and Anderson hitch. I saw your video that raising your front jacks so high caused them to leak hydraulic fluid. One of mine is leaking, how did you fix it? Steve
@AdventureEndeavor
