I love my Fjällräven Keb Trousers. I agree about Kuhl on the odd fit.

Another very good video. Thank you. Lately, I have been experimenting with multiple use apparel and have found items I wear to the gym or skiing work just as well on the trail. My favorite hiking pants are Under Armor sweats and my hiking mid layers are Spyder 1/4 zips. So much hiking brand specific gear is a ripoff.

Not much experience but with my Fjallraven Nils, with partial soft/brushed polycotton and partial regular fabric. Not the partial double layers, with the even more durable pants. Waxed, it offers lightweight, windproof and fast-drying garment. When it's rain 'soaked' (waxed cotton and polyester...), it doesn't feel cold/uncomfortable, and again, dries fast. Durable, lasts for years, even when worn daily. Low-waist model, very comfy (N=1), but others might want a higher waist model reg. backpack movement/feel. I might change the color when I get new hiking pants. But it will be the same model and size.

no fjallraven? the kebs are my favorite, and for summer the Abisko Light Trekking pants are awesome as they convert to shorts. I have Vidda pros for colder weather. i love wearing any of these around town, and omg are they solid. Nice colors too. If you shop VERY carefully you can get them for around $100.00. the Kebs are probably the best all arounders, and they have heat releasing zips on thigh and another on the calf. The Abisko have a zipper on the thighs IIRC. Other than the Abiskos, the other styles have a hook to attach to your shoelaces, which helps them perform as built in gaiters, and the cuffs are adjustable. I could go on and on but... I will never buy another brand of hiking pants.

Great video. Thanks 😊 Quick question...I see spf rating for most pasts now. But since pants are physically covering your legs doesn't it automatically have sun protection? Do they have some sort of treatment?

I alternate between my Montane Terra pants and Haglöfs Rugged Mountain pants, depending on the actvity and conditions - it'd be hard to say which of those is my favourite!
