As you scan the point going out into the ocean (Boars Head) at the north end of Hampton Beach (33:27 ish) you will notice a square concrete structure sticking up, 3 houses left of the right side of the point. It's a 6 story WWII radar defense tower. It sits in the back yard of a house of the north side of Boars Head on Dumas Av. I lived in that house from 1959 - 1966. Been in that tower countless times as a child. It even had the radar equipment in the basement back then. I still have many pictures and 8mm movies my dad took of the place. Climbed Mt Washington many times. Took the cog a few. Its a shame The Old Man Of the Mountains fell.

You planned this trip perfectly for the fall colors! And the weather looked like it was perfect! Loved seeing the cute little chipmunk. We were so impressed that you made it to the top of the trail, we were exhausted just watching🤣🤣

So, I want to share a little story. In 2019, after 20+yrs of not having good eyesight, I got them fixed (long story 4 surgeries.) I discovered your channelafter that time. It inspired me, once I got a car to start traveling more and at the same time, I discovered that I had a hidden talent...photography. Apparently, and ironically, I have an "eye" for it. I'm also very creative & even pro's have said these things. People started noticing...so I started pursuing it more seriously, this all happened inbetween my eyes getting fixed & when covid happened. I have traveled more and took more photos within the last 2yrs since I started watching you, then ever before in my life. I have EVEN made a sale on a calendar I produced with my photos!!! I want to THANK YOU Robert...you truly inspired me to start this adventure and pursue what I love. I'm not sure where it will take me next but I'm hoping on many more adventures. P.S. I watch your videos on a VR headset and it's amazing! I almost feel like I'm there. these latest ones and this one in particular were absolutely STUNNING! Again....THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I hope to meet you one day!

My first trip to NH I drove the Kanc from Conway to Lincoln then up through Franconia. I stayed an extra night to go back and explore Franconia. It was in August 2018. No regrets. Fall is magical up there but you should definitely go back when it isnt so crowded and enjoy the stops. We were there the Thursday before Columbus day this year and we were unable to find parking everywhere we wanted to go. Also, thank you for sharing your travels to the extent you do. It helps my wanderlust when I cannot escape myself.

I lived in New Hampshire when I was a kid for three years. Best autumns ever. Try viewing and photographic the fall foliage over a large, flat, calm lake as you will get the added reflection of the trees and colors off the water.

Great job on filming while hiking! Very well done. And I absolutely agree with you that descending the mountain is harder than ascending. Going up strains your energy and muscles but doing down adds to it the stress on the joints as well. Definitely did the right thing for choosing the longer but easier route down.

Ah, nothing like going on a hike with Robert while sitting on the couch and sipping coffee! That 360 camera makes me feel like I'm about 8 feet tall and walking right along with you. The White Dot trail was pretty epic! Seeing this video reminds me of how rocky the trails are in the northeast...makes for some tough uphill hiking at times. I camped at Franconia Notch State Park back in 2004, had the place almost to myself. The bike path there is really nice If you make it back to the area you should definitely check out Flume Gorge. Until next time, happy trails!

I hope you had a great time in my state of NH! You should have stopped at the Old Country Store in Moultonboro on your right at 14:26. Lots of neat items - both old and new. Lots of candy too! Also, minor item. You stopped at the point Squam Lake connects with Little Squam lake - not Winnipesaukee.

I’ve stayed at so many of the NFS campgrounds along the KANC over the years. It’s where I cut my camping teeth. I didn’t start camping with my friends until I was about 23. Any one I knew in my earlier life went camping, my parents were always hotel/motel travelers. We’d only visit the white mountains during busy leaf peeping times and we’d visit all the kid’s tourist type places. I did tent/car/pop up camping in NH but have yet to revisit the area since going full time four years ago in my class C.
