I think it is so strange that the season ends just before the leaves fall and not until after because after they fall the hugging is the most amazing because it opens up some sky and there is a blanket of colored leaves all over the forest along trails... I know it's tough because they rely on school kids to work this summer until they go back to school but work on skeleton crelephant crew or really slow until the leaves are showing.... Maybe even shut down for a few weeks until leaves are colored... But I think a better date would be like October 25th, Because the hiking and the waterfalls become exceptionally worthwhile and rewarding... Even the mountain top vistas are cool with the shaved heads of the peaks, Except where the evergreens show their endurance.

If you go to kancamagus highway in summer and not a holiday weekend you will have minimal traffic and a lot of the pull offs almost to yourself, especially during the weekdays.

That falls of song was beautiful almost like it was out of a fairy tale movie. A Robert when are you gonna do the Adirondacks? I would suggest you do it in at least 4 days and 4 quadrants North East South east Southwest east West and maybe the Northwest up to uh the Saint Lawrence Seaway Is near me New York to end. As usual most of the "life surrounds the park because of restrictions... But it is a state park that is mutual with many many villages and towns. There may be too many bothersome black flies in June so I was for it's dumb so I will suggest July 2nd through Labor Day... And for less crowded scenic scenic travels I would go I would go after Labor Day... It is huge and also a lot of leaf lookers go between say September 25th and October 8th. It's funny because I'm so close to the Adirondacks in the summer time, and some winters, I never really get excited about little Vermont next door. When you want to Vermont in October 2021 you missed the Plymouth notch area which is where the home of Calvin Coolidge is... Someday I will make it there to see it and also maybe B see if anybody is panning for gold nearby, As it was And historic original colony gold site as was North Carolina, About 20 miles South of Mario In the Adirondacks you might want to camp one day not far from Old Forge and hit that area from Old Forge to Blue Mountain lake and some of the great Adirondack camps that of the wealthy from the past... For the Southeast you could stay near speculator New York which is quaint And calm and do skirmishes and waterfall Or simple mountain top hikes from there, But now I'm thinking you might have to add a 5th day and stay at Indian Lake/Gore's Mtn. Gondola area, and to Blue Mtn. hike, with fire tower... It is basically the center of the Adirondacks. And from there you may want to stay 2 nights and take You're truck one day, down in Lake George, New York for the thirsty aspect and the lake steamboat cruises, And great food....Some history Fort William Henry and a lot of tourist trap things to do there as well. And then you could spend another day going up to Elizabeth Tom andson through the keen Valley and the high peaks region and and park it somewhere nearly placid. Depending on whether you hike or not you might want to stay in extra day... And you can drive up to the top of white face mountain for your view. The Northwest area has somewhat less to offer but it has Tupper Lake with a wildlife museum it has Long Lake with with she playing rides, It has Azure mountain on the northern edge of the mountains which is a simple great height with a great view to the South.... I guess you could stay in tupper late there are some nice campsites either there or in Saranac.... I'm leaving Adrrondacks, I would suggest going up through to Malone and over to Massena, or Potsdam and then to Massena, Which is along the Saint Lawrence river and seaway. 2 things to see there are the Eisenhower Eisenhower dam and power station hydro electric, A joint Canada USA project, And the Robert Moses seaway is seaway locks, Where you get to see the ocean going freighters pass through so they can go to the Great Lakes inland... And on the other side of the locks is an island with a big campground if you want to stay there Overnight.
