Nice shots of the cave, looks like a lot of fun! Can't wait to head back down that way and check it out. I'll be going solo so I'll be sure to bring waaaay more lights and backup batteries than I'll ever need! 😄Thanks for posting!

You are brave to do it solo! But yeah, lights will definitely be awesome specially at the underground lake. Let me know when you do it so I can watch.

Wow! Love this video! 😱🤘 Peppersauce Cave has been in my bucket list for some time now, but, same as you, I’d like to go with a group of people there 😬. There is supposed to be an underground lake down there 😲 I hiked Wasson Peak at the beginning of this summer down there in Tucson, beautiful trail going up (went counterclockwise), worth checking it out if you still in the area. Also, if you do not mind driving a little further south, check Coronado Cave and Coronado Peak near (ish) Sierra Vista, right by the border with Mexico. The cave is super cool and there is no way you can get lost there 😉👍🤘

That's the next cave I want to check out! Yes it has a lake inside at the end of the cave but I wasn't able to make it there 😅😅 Maybe next summer I'll try again and join a group

Wow, Mary! Is caving your new adventures now? I heard there is an underground lake down there. It would have been great to see that. I would not be surprised if I see your next video doing underwater caving! 😃👍 Good luck and be safe always.

I just checked it out, I didn't go too far because I got scared! 😅😅😅 So I didn't see the underground lake at the end

Hello Mary, you are a real "trooper" to go thru that cave. I went to the U of A in Tucson, graduated in 1971. I was in a fraternity for two years and on our "pledge walkout" we took 14 guys thru Peppersauce Cave. There was one pledge brother that was too claustrophobic, so he sat outside on a rock and waited for 4 hours while the rest of us explored the cave. That deep pool of water used to have a hand made wooden ladder that was about 8 feet long and extended into the pool.

Your brother was patient to wait for four hours outside! I wish I could come back sometime when there's more people hiking in.

More to come! I have been slacking on editing the videos but I try my best to post once a week. Thank you for watching 😊😊😊

Thanks for the video. I'm too claustrophobic to do this cave. So this is as close as I will get.

You're welcome! I thought I was too until I have to do it

Wow that was fun and scary! I would bring a big ball of string and unwinded as I hike down the cave so I would never get lost

That is good idea! It sure was scary 😬😬😬

Been doing Peppersauce since the early 80s. I’ve even gotten my adult sons addicted to caving. Doesn’t look like you made it to the underground lake inside the cave. Used to be a wonky rope ladder down to it, but it’s since been replaced with an aluminum one. Hopefully you get a chance to revisit the cave with more time to explore. Be safe.

I would love to come back and hopefully get to the underground lake next time. Thank you :)

@@sunkissedmary Do it, there’s even a log book way down at the bottom of the cave. It’s a tight squeeze getting down there, but that’s half the fun! Be safe and look out for mountain lions if you happen to stay at the campground near there!
