It's nice to see you making hiking videos again. Those were some great fall colors. 🍁😎👍

I am going to have to go and hike that trail again after watching that. I did it in June 2019 down to Huskey Gap, took a left down to Little River and out to Elkmont. It was a typical summer day in the Smokies, views were socked in by clouds and now that I see what I didn't get to see I think I need to return. It will also give me the opportunity to finish the lower 3.1 miles I didn't do that day, working on my 900 miler.

We did it up to the AT and then on to Clingman's a few years ago as a day hike. A grueling climb, but gorgeous views! ❤

You guys caught some awesome colors!! (I love your nails, btw💜) We’ve only hiked Sugarland from the AT to Rough Creek (still have to do that one), so what’s your suggested route for the rest of Sugarland? We haven’t done Husky Gap either. Thanks for sharing!!🧡
@HikingwithBraids9 күн бұрын
I’d say go down the trail from rough fork and finish that way. Might be better to do huskey gap as a separate hike since you can’t finish the whole trail from Sugarland trail 🙂

I was hiking in Elkmont that day and the colors were absolutely beautiful! Those clouds you were looking down at... was the fog i was hiking in all morning 😂 But there's nothing I love more than fog and fall colors together. Your views were stunning!

Loved it! Pam and I hiked it a couple of times before the fire, and have vowed to go back. Kudos to Jerry for helping out with the camera work.

Hi Bob! 👋 I don’t think I ever hiked it before the fires. Was it as overgrown or eroded?

That was a beautiful hike! 🌿 🍁 🍂 Questions 😊 How many miles was it, and what time did you arrive to start the hike? I cant believe its been 4 yrs since your thru-hike 🎉. One of the better trail films!! Loved the faces you made and sounds.😅 Keep hiking Braids, I miss your videos.

Ugh, 2020 is a bad memory for me. And I have done the same thing with my car wondering if I locked the doors. Fortunately my Rav4 can communicate to my phone and tell me if the doors are unlocked and if they are, I can lock them from anywhere. I love the smell of the forest, especially when you walk through a pine forest with pine needles at your feet. Beautiful colors but the trail looked pretty narrow and sketchy in places. That was a whole lot of good snacks. John from MI
