The first days of starting the 3000km Te Araroa thru hike heading northbound from Bluff to Cape Reinga in New Zealand!

U can start later in the season. Also if u only do southiland its better to go nobo because u have the Mountains at the end

Just timing! Leaving in January, I had to go NOBO for the seasons/weather. Plus it’s a bit less crowded.
