Im not a hiker but twice on Skye when tenting in The Cuillins alone I experienced a few inexplicable mystical happenings. Unforgettable mystical memories. 🌌🏴💙🙏

Yay! A new video. I love this channel, and it inspired me to climb my first Munro a few weeks ago. Climb but not ‘bag’ - bad weather and the promise of approaching lightning storms made me make the hard decision to turn back about 15 minutes from the summit. Looking forward to heading back to the highlands soon and having another go. Thank you for your beautiful videos - I can only imagine how much time and effort goes into the filming and editing.

You and Murray have the best munro hike videos on KZbin by far. I love watching them. I'm lay in my bed in Mexico on holiday getting my munro fix before I nod off. Can't wait to get back to Scotland and those munros.

I did the traverse the way you've done. After the initial climb up to the ridge, which seemed endless, it opened up and was a brilliant walk. I was amazed at how steep some of the drops were to the NE.

Congratulations, what an achievement. Not only have you done 250 but you have documented it so well. Your honest opinions about feeling ecstatic or uneasy sometimes in combination with varied photography really makes it feel like we're along for the ride. Good journey rest of the way.

Another top day and video, James. With only having just 3 to go now, make sure you leave some easy days for the end! There are some fine Corbetts to be had once you finish. I recently went to rum and had one of the finest hill days ever doing the rum cullin

The 5 Sisters is an awesome walk, but I prefer doing it the other way to get the views to the west. This was my first ridge walk back in 1986, and the South Cluanie Ridge on the south side of the glen was my second. No real exposure or scrambling, but high level walking and amazing vistas.

Very well done @ 250, James - and congrats on the 10,000 subscribers, too. If you've kept records, it will be interesting to find out the total distance and total ascent you've covered since Munro 1. And what about you? You're obviously very athletic now, but were you always reasonably slim and fit?
@ScottishMunroJourney6 ай бұрын
Thank you Paul 😁 I do have a record of distance etc, I will probably add it to the final videos 😁 Cheers, James

Wow what fantastic views first thing, just a pity it clouded over. It doesn't matter which way you do these hills it is steep up and steep down but well worth it. I am not yet convinced by these 360 cameras, they do accentuate the drops and look artificial - I much prefer your footage with the GoPro(?). Thanks for the video and look forward to the next one.

Hey chap, don't worry about the chunky. We're all getting there! That is a massive day out. Took us 12 hours 20 years ago. Started out fine, but halfway along the ridge the weather changed into a bloody monsoon. Got absolutely soaked on the last munroe, made it back to the pub around 9pm only to say they had stopped serving food at 8-30. Peanuts and several bags of crisps for dinner. Shit load of beer, too, as well. 90% of the day was fine. The last hour was dreadful. Brilliant day out though. Cheers, Ozzy.
@rascott19706 ай бұрын
Well done. I did it in the other direction, the walk down is more pleasant that way There’s no minimum drop for a Munro to be a Munro. It was subjective opinion by Sir Hugh at the time of a mountain’s “character”

@@ScottishMunroJourney hate to break it to you , but I don't think you did the 5 sisters.. Once you get to the top from the first ascent there is a sister about half a mile on the opposite direction from the munros , left other than right .. Because I left that out after doing the Brothers and the sister munros , couldn't be arsed detouring out to it and back so just dropped down where you came up .
