A gorgeous little walk. The river images especially that first nights taster were so beautiful. We stayed three nights in Dumfries last year but had really wet weather. Still some nice explorations. The Annan valley we did not explore but as I say it looks wonderful. I have never got into the whiskies but it is decades since I tried some. I will have to try some again as it looks like I might be missing out. Nice for us to see some cool walking as the past few weeks on our road trip have been so very hot and a bit strenuous at times. See you again soon.

Enjoyable watch, especially as we are both suffering with Covid. My parents and sister used to live at Castle Douglas and I used to visit once a month and always enjoyed the drive up through Dumfries and Galloway. Looked a nice gaff and what a great view you had from there too, especially with a bottle of El Grifo and a few sausages! Loved the bluebells but I prefeed the sausages to the wild edibles and looking at that bridge, it shows the devastating power of nature. Mrs Metalman is the whiskey drinker in out house (I prefer vodka), so she would have really enjoyed that, not sure about the 60% mind😳. Nice place to stop for lunch, great place for a bench and a real nice walk out, despite the drizzle, cheers Alan
